The Most Neglected Subject of Study

The churches of the world today are superficially busy in all departmental activities to grow their numbers, so to increase financial profits and constructing big edifice to boast their physical profile.

While churches are encroached and dominated with hireling shepherds, it is alarming that all religious denominations today are in great crises of leadership and in dooms of death, due to corruption. The community of believers that comprises the members are losing the right passion in their practices of faith, hope and love.

Without exemption, this is the real condition of all the churches in the world today, whether it be Christians or Non-Christians.

Everyone seems to lose spiritual awareness; much more of the presence of God in their lives; and how much more of the reading of the word of God, the prophecy in particular?

One of the neglected prophecies in the Bible by the professed Christians today is the awareness of the spiritual condition of the (Laodicean) church". Nobody dares to notice that the personal conditions and characters of each individual and the whole church itself is fulfilling Bible prophecy, in Rev 3:15 "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot: I wish that you were cold or hot. (V-16)  So then because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spit you out of my mouth. (V-17)  “Because you said, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and you do not know that you are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:”

However, despite of the negative portrayal of that prophecy, the good news is that the Lord also prescribed an antidote for healing that could possibly overturn that prophecy. It says in  Rev 3:18  "I counsel you to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garment, that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eyesalve, that you may see".

The evidence of God's love surpasses the size and weight of sin of His prodigal children. (Rev 3:19) “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent".

But, in order to avail that grace, one has to take action of letting Jesus come into his heart and fellowship with Him, because He is evidently outside pleading anyone to open his/her portal. (Rev 3:20) "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hears my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with me".

The promised reward is sure and is so amazing, beyond all valuable things that this world can offer, and beyond human thoughts can imagine! (Rev 3:21) "To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne".

Another neglected prophecy these last days is the "Out-pouring of the Holy Spirit", (Acts 2:7) “And it shall come to pass in the last days. Says God, That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy. Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams”. 

The leaders of the churches today are not making any measures of preparing their members to become worthy to receive the refreshing and the "Latter Rain of the Holy Spirit".

 However, the concern of preparation has been overwhelmed by the demand of selfishness, greed and pride.  That’s why, spiritual phase occupies less space against the material things in life. This is one of the most neglected prophecies in the Bible that churches of the world today and the schools of theology failed to give emphasis of studies to prepare the church to face the present crisis and the greater crisis ahead. Instead, everyone is busy in doing their personal business, like in the days of Noah, before the flood covered the earth, and in the days of Lot before the destruction of Sodom and Gomorra. (Luke 17: 26- 30) “…as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the son of man…”  This scenario is but another evidence of a fulfilled prophecy and a history repeating itself in these last days before the coming of the Son of Man.

The outpouring of the Holy Spirit without gainsay must be the ultimate gift one could receive from the heavenly Father in these last days, to become  worthy vessel and worthy grain for harvest to be gathered together in the heavenly barn. Oh, that this could be the theme of everyone’s prayer and makes the work of preparation an important daily duty and responsibility. Then, shall this prophecy be fulfilled in due time, and the universal harvest time will now happen.

It's my prayer that everyone becomes recipient of the latter rain of the Holy Spirit.
