Let’s look at
chapter 6 of The Key to Happiness, page 78. “Our Real Father Who Personally
Answers All Our Prayers.”
Nowadays,
people in the world do not even know how to pray. This is what they think, “We
will go to Jesus because we cannot dare go to God. When we go to Jesus our
intercessor and pray to Him, then He takes it and goes to the Father. He
reports to the Father and the Father who sits on the throne says, ‘Do it for
them. Give it to him, give it to them.’ Then Jesus receives the answer and
gives it to us.” It’s so complicated to receive an answer to a prayer. Today,
all of you will learn how to pray.
Let’s see how Jesus told us to pray. Please read.
Reader: [But
you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray
to your Father who is in the secret place.] (Mat 6:6)
When you pray,
don’t make it so complicated, but go where? Go into your room and shut your
door and meet your Father one on one. [Your Father who sees in secret will
reward you.] Who will reward you? Jesus? It says your Father will answer you.
Here, is there an intercessor or not? There isn’t. Then people say that Teacher
Park is denying Jesus’ intercession. They say this is a heresy. But all these
questions will be answered. Let’s continue.
Reader: […and
your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.] (Mat 6:6)
Your Father who sees you in secret will reward you openly.
Did Jesus say, “Let’s go to the room together and I will pray. I will be an
intercessor on your behalf”? Did He say that? He said, “Go to the room alone
and close the door and meet your Father one on one.” And our Father who sees in
secret will reward you openly.
Reader: [But
when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For your Father
knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.] (Mat 6:7-8)
Let’s not be
like the people of the world and pray in repetitions, saying the same things
over and over again. He is your loving Father, He knows what you need even
before you ask. So when you open the door, our loving Father is already there
saying, “I know what you want,” because He knows everything about His children.
I hope that all of you will go directly to our loving Real Father and pray to
Him without an intercessor.
When I was
living in Jeolla Province, there was a company commander of the reserved
forces. President Park Chung Hee invited him to the Blue House because he was a
meritorious being. As he went to the President’s house, the soldiers and guards
in the Blue House came out and began to inspect him with metal detectors and
search him from head to toe. They were holding a rifle with live ammunition. If
he were to get shot, he would not even be able to say one word. He was invited
by the President, but they had their rifles pointed at him and were searching
him. “Please, just get rid of the guns!” You can imagine how upset he must have
been because he had all these guns pointed at him. Yes, even in order to meet
the President of a small country, not just anyone can go in. Not even a
general, prime minister, or any other minister can just go in, they could get
killed. But what about the President’s children? If Park Chung Hee’s son or
daughter wants to see him, there is no one who will search them. They just walk
right into his office or into his room. There’s not even one person who tells
them, “Come here! Come here!”
They go to the
President and say, “I’m going on a trip and I need money. Is this all you’re
going to give me? Give me more.” Then what makes the President’s son or
daughter better than generals or other ministers? Is it because they did
greater work for the country? Is it because they are in a higher position? They
have no position or authority at all. They are not any better or anything
particular, but they can go to meet the President whenever they want. There is
not one person who can stop them either. Then, what allows them to have such
power and authority? The word “real.” They are his real children; this one word
“real” gives them such authority.
Do you think we
will go to heaven because of our achievements and merits? If you want to talk
about achievements, look at the churches of the world. They do a lot of work.
They spread a lot of pamphlets and establish many churches. We have done
nothing. We have no position. We are not even better looking. Then why can we
go to the King of the universe without an intercessor? It is because we are His
real sons and daughters. If generals and ministers want to meet the President,
they can’t go meet him directly. But the children can walk right up to him and
of course he does whatever the children ask him. Generals and ministers must
get permission from the secretary or someone else, but real sons and daughters
don’t need anything like that. That’s why the people in the world are praying,
trembling in fear as they go to Jesus the Intercessor, but what about all of
you? You can go directly to our Father. If you could just understand what this
“real” means, then I wouldn’t have to continue doing these seminars, but
because you keep forgetting and you run to an intercessor and are shivering in
fear again, I must continue giving these lectures.
Did you ever
see an intercessor between a father and his own son or daughter? Isn’t that
ridiculous? How can there be someone who has to stand between a father and his
son? It doesn’t matter if the father is a president or a king. That is why you
can go to the Father without an intercessor. You can go to the King of the
universe. You can sit on His lap and ask Him for anything you want. That is
your right.
Then why did the Bible say there is an intercessor? When the
Bible says that there is an intercessor, people think it means Jesus goes to
the Father and says, “O Father, please save this sinner.” But what it means to
be an intercessor is like this:
In a family,
there is a little baby, and the baby can’t talk very well when it is young. The
father says to the mother, “Oh, you know the baby just said something to you.”
The father is speaking on behalf of the baby. Or when the baby says something,
the sister says, “Mother, Father, the baby says she wants that,” and speaks on
the baby’s behalf. When the baby can’t speak properly, there’s someone who
speaks in its stead. Likewise, when we don’t know what to ask for, Jesus and
the Holy Spirit can pray on our behalf. This is what it means to be an
intercessor. All the churches in the world think that because we are sinners
who are to die, who are to be judged, Jesus is begging God for Him to save us.
So how scared they must be! Let’s read Romans 8:26.
Reader:
[Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we
should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us
with groaning which cannot be uttered.]
This means that when we don’t know what and how to pray, our
Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit will speak on our behalf in order to help
us.
You will learn
more about that in a few days. In the future, you may be dragged into the
courts of law – though God’s children did not commit any sins, because Satan is
in control of the world, those who are possessed by Satan will arise trying to
get rid of God’s children. Just like in the time of Elijah and in the time of
Jesus, religion and government will all join forces to get rid of God’s
children. So when you go to court, when you are trembling and when you have nothing
to say, He will speak on your behalf. For it is written, “He is our Father.
When we don’t know what to say, what to pray, how to pray, our Father will
speak on our behalf.”
One time, one
of my cousins who just started going to church was suddenly asked to pray
without any advanced warning by the pastor on the pulpit. She was surprised
because this was the first time she had to pray in public. She bent her head
and she began to pray and she prayed so well that people were saying they were
more touched by the prayer than by the sermon. Who prayed in her stead? Because
our Father knew that she couldn’t pray, for that trembling child He prayed on
her behalf. This is the kind of intercession it is, not what those churches
say, that we need an intercessor because we are sinners. We should pray
directly to the Father. Is Jesus our example? Then when Jesus went to the
Father, did He have an intercessor? No, He did not need one. In the same way,
we can go directly to the Father. Do you believe that God is our Real Father
who begot you? Yes, you are His real son and real daughter. Then why do you
need someone to be in the middle of you going to the Father? You have to
quickly escape from that error and fallacy of the world. That is the only way
you can be saved. People don’t even know how to pray. They don’t even know the
significance of baptism or the washing of feet. Let’s read page 80.
Reader: “Our Father in heaven, the king of the entire
universe, declare to all inhabitants of the universe today, [and to the saints
who are on the earth, they are the excellent ones,] they are My sons [in whom
is all my delight]. (Psalm 16:3)
Our Father in
heaven, the King of the entire universe declares to all inhabitants of the
universe today. He says, “And to the saints who are on the earth, they are the
excellent ones.” They are who? They are My sons in whom is all my delight.
Though our Father rules the whole universe, all of His heart, His mind, His
soul, and His love is poured upon only us.
A long time ago,
there was once a king and he had a son. He would bring all of his ministers
together and they would have a meeting. But whenever he had any free time, he
would go into the back room, get his son and hug and kiss him. Even though he
was in a meeting, his heart, his joy was only on the prince, his son. Likewise,
“to the saints who are on the earth, they are the excellent ones; they are My
sons in whom is all my delight.” We are the focus of our Real Father’s love.
What happy beings we are! Let’s continue.
Reader: He also speaks to us, [You are my son … I have
begotten you]. (Psa 2:7) [Ask of me, and I will give you the nations for your
inheritance]. (Psa 2:8)
“You are my
son, today I have,” what? “Today I have begotten you.” He’s not speaking about
Jesus of two thousand years ago, but He is speaking about all of you before the
inhabitants of the universe. He is the King of the universe, but He says that
He begot you and is so happy that He loves you the most.
“So ask of Me, and I will give you the nations for your
inheritance.” What are the nations? It is speaking of this earth and the whole
universe. He will give them all to you.
In church, they
say “O God, give me some money. It cannot be glory for your people to be poor.”
I hope you will not ask for money. I hope you will ask for the nations for your
inheritance. He is our Real Father who gives us anything and everything. Every
morning He comes to us and He says, “What do you want, I will give you anything
and everything.” I hope you will ask for something big. Don’t ask for something
so small and petty. If you ask for the Holy Spirit, ask for a lot of it, ask
for as much as the Pacific Ocean and pray that you can save the whole world.
Please continue.
Reader: [You will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I
will listen to you] (Jer 29:12), [I will answer you]. (Jer 33:3)
Who will
answer? The Intercessor? It says, “I will personally answer.”
Reader: [You
will call and the Lord will answer; you shall cry, and He will say, “Here I
am.”] (Isa 58:9)
“When you call
Me, I the Lord Jehovah, will answer your cry and I will say, ‘Here I am.’” When
children are playing and other kids try to beat a certain child, he runs away
and when he gets home, he says, “Daddy!” Then the father comes out and all the
other bullies run away. In the same way, before I began this fight, I knew what
an intense and fierce battle it would be. This is a universal battle. It’s the
fiercest battle in six thousand years of history. I knew how dangerous it was.
That’s why before I came out before the world, I put a condition to my Father.
I said, “Father, I have been like a lone general on this earth, but no matter how
many enemies surround me, Daddy, when I call to You, You have to say, ‘I’m
here!’ and You have to appear. Only then will I fight.” He said, “Ok, I will do
that!” I have fought so many times, but He has never forsaken me, and whenever
I was in trouble, I called to Him and He answered, “What, you called Me?” He
says, “Call Me and I will answer. You will cry and I will say ‘Here I am’.” I
hope that you will fight with our Father and be victorious. Continue.
Reader: [Before
they call I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear]. (Isa
65:24) [And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your
heart]. (Jer 29:13)
Before you call, I will answer and while you are still
speaking, I will hear. This is our Father, but they say that we must pray a
hundred, a thousand times in order to receive an answer. That we must fast ten,
twenty, thirty days to finally receive an answer, but what does it say here?
“Before you call I will answer, while you are still speaking,” before you are
even finished of your prayer, I will hear and answer you. What a wonderful God.
He is the true God, our Father.
[And you will
seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart]. (Jer 29:13)
When we seek Him and look for Him, He will meet us. I hope that you will always
meet our Father and walk with Him. Please continue.
Reader: “And He
kindly says to us always, [Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver
you, and you shall glorify Me]. (Psa 50:15)”
“Call upon Me
in the day of trouble.” This trouble, this tribulation, refers to a difficulty
that we cannot settle with our own human power. When we have reached the limits
of our human power, then He says, “Call upon Me in the day of trouble.” When we
are in a difficult situation, something that is too big for us to settle on our
own, He says, “Call on Me. Call upon Me, I will deliver you and you shall
praise and glorify Me.” With God’s children, when things are peaceful and going
well, they worship very well and they seem to have very good faith. But once
tribulation and troubles begin, they stop praying and start running around to
settle the problem. When you have a problem that you cannot settle on your own,
I hope you will call our Real Father.
Shall I tell you a story?
I joined the
military. Because I was born in this world, I have experienced everything that
other people have experienced. So I went to fulfill my military duties, and if
you listen to people who did military service in Korea, they all know that if
you lose something in the military, what must you do? You have to steal. If you
don’t steal and the soldier ranking above you finds out, he’ll say, “You
idiot!” and he will swear at you and beat you. So you have to steal because you
have to have all your equipment. Since no one wants to be cursed at and beaten,
everyone steals and pretends they didn’t. Then the person who has his equipment
stolen must himself steal to replace it, and this continues on until everyone
in the army base is a thief. It doesn’t matter if they are high school or
college graduates. Those who studied more use their brains to steal better. But
even if you are not learned, God’s people, God’s men, a man of God cannot
steal. That shows us that the education of the world is so elementary. Even if
you are uneducated, those who live according to their conscience have received
the true education.
So I went to
the army to fulfill my military service and at that time, our country was very
poor. They gave us exactly one hat to work in, one helmet and one regular cap.
It had no wires so it could be crumpled up into a ball. But one day, someone
had stolen my cap. There were tens of thousands of soldiers in the training
camp and you couldn’t even go anywhere to buy it if you lost it. At the PX,
they only sold civilian hats to wear when you went outside. They didn’t sell
the training caps. So someone took my cap. My one and only cap. There were so
many soldiers, why did it have to be mine? I didn’t know what to do. It was
evening and I was in trouble. The next day when I wake up, I would have to wear
that cap during training, but I didn’t have one, and going out without a cap
was never tolerated. I was sure to get into a whole lot of trouble, so I prayed
in the evening. It was supposedly my turn to steal, but I prayed like this, “O
Father, how can a son of God steal? Even if I’m beaten, I cannot steal, so
Father, please give me a cap.” Then I prayed, “Thank you for giving me a cap!”
I thanked Him first. Since I said thank you, I believed He would give it to me.
I prayed and said, “I believe!” and went to sleep. When I woke up the next day
and looked at my box where all my clothes were to see if Daddy had put the cap
there, there was no cap. Had I said, “See! I knew it!” and if I had stolen a
cap, then such a person could never walk with God. We must believe even if we
die. Even if He doesn’t give me the hat and I go to jail, I must still believe
in Him to the end. And if He doesn’t give it to me, that is His great love.
There’s one thing special about me. If I pray once and I
ask, no matter what happens, I believe. Whether He gives it to me or not,
that’s His will. But for God’s children, it’s our duty to ask and pray, but
everyone fails in waiting for the answer. Do you know where 99 percent of
people fail? It is in waiting for the answer. You must be victorious and wait
to the end.
When Noah
entered the ark, it didn’t rain right away. The day came, but the rain didn’t
fall. He went through such a severe test. It was such a severe trial. People
would say, “Where’s the rain? Nothing is coming from the sky!” Yet he believed
until the end. Or how about Saul, when he went to battle against the
Philistines, where was Samuel the prophet? Facing thousands of the enemy with
soldiers having run away, and the prophet not coming, Saul offered his
sacrifice and committed a sin. He wasn’t supposed to do that. Samuel came to
him a week later and scolded him, saying, “You failed to wait for God’s
providence so you will be dethroned.” We must not fail in waiting.
Anyway, I fully
believed that He would answer, but He didn’t give me a cap. So now I had to go
to training after breakfast. Everyone only has one so there was no one who
could let me borrow his. So I prayed. At that time, the one who was in charge
was a corporal with two stripes. The corporal was more fearful than generals
because he was directly in charge of his small corps. He had full authority and
could make us do anything. He was from Seoul, but he sure knew how to curse people.
I knew that if I told him I had lost my cap, he would curse me out and punish
me. So I prayed, “Father, I have to tell the corporal that I lost my cap. Do
not let him curse me or mistreat me. Please move his heart. Thank you for
moving his heart.” So I thanked my Father in advance, then I went and said,
“Corporal, someone stole my cap last night.” And he said, “Oh, really? Why
don’t you borrow that man’s there. He will be staying inside.” He was so nice
to me. As I wore the cap, I said, “Father, you know this isn’t mine. Please
quickly give me my own cap. Even when there was nothing in space, you made the
sun, the earth, and all the stars. You can make everything. Then I know it is
no problem for you to give me this cap. So give me a cap.” I did not doubt a
bit and I asked with faith.
He didn’t give
me a cap that day, or even the next day or the next. But I think it was the
third or the fourth day. I was outside during lunchtime, I had gone up to the
mountains to pray and it had just rained. There was a mound of sand and it was
very dry and clean. As I was walking, I saw this little green thing sticking
out about an inch and a half on top of the sand. I picked it out and it was a
clean, brand new cap. I dusted it off and it was brand new with no signs of
wear. I said, “Father, I knew You would do this!” In that time of trouble when
I couldn’t borrow or buy a cap inside that camp, I did not steal once, I was
not cursed even once, and I received a better cap, a new cap. There, I was able
to see my Real Daddy. No matter what happens, when you are put in a situation
that you cannot solve by your own strength, I hope that you will call to our
Real Daddy, then He will say, “I will deliver you and you will glorify Me.”
Let’s continue reading.
Reader: “Jesus
also says, [Ask, and it will be given to you…. For everyone who asks receives].
(Mat 7:7-8) [Ask in my name, and I do not say to you that I shall pray the
Father for you; for the Father Himself loves you]. (John 16:26-27).”
He said “Ask,
ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I shall pray the Father for you.”
He is saying, “It doesn’t mean that I will be your intercessor. I did not say
that I will pray to the Father for you. For the Father Himself loves you and He
will answer.” I hope that you will go directly to the Father and pray.
Continue.
Reader: [Every
good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father
of lights]. (James 1:17).
[You do not
have because you do not ask.] All the gifts of grace are from whom? From the
Father. Even the Holy Spirit, the whole universe, they are all gifts from the
Father of lights. Then why would He not answer our prayers during our time of
trouble? That’s why it’s written, do you think He who made your eyes cannot see
and He who made you ears cannot hear? When there is a problem that you cannot
settle on your own, I hope that you will call on Him. Let’s continue.
[Let him ask of
God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to
him]. (Jam 1:5) [He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us
all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?] (Rom 8:32) [If
you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much
more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him].
(Mat 7:11) [Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray,
believe that you receive them, and you will have them]. (Mark 11:24)
Amen! So,
whatever you ask when you pray, you must believe for without faith, you cannot
please Him. You must go to Him and believe that He is the One who rewards those
who come to Him. You must believe in His love, then He is overjoyed and
answers. Even when we go somewhere and are acknowledged, it makes us feel so
good; in the same way when we acknowledge our Father, He comes to us in joy.
Reader: [Pray
to your Father who is in the secret place]. (Mat 6:6) We may come into God’s
presence with the confidence that children have in their parents.
This is quoted
by a book called, Thoughts from the Mount of Blessings. “We may come into God’s
presence with the confidence that children have in their parents.”
Just as children go to their real parents and ask for
something, let’s go to our Real Father and ask. When children go to their
parents, do they need a translator or someone who can speak on their behalf?
No. In the same way, let’s go directly to our Father. Continue.
Reader: “No man
is needed to act as a mediator.”
No one, no one is needed to act as a mediator. Not Jesus,
not even the Holy Spirit, not the pastor, pope, father, or priest. Let’s go
directly to our Father.
Reader: “In the
secret place of prayer, where no eye but God’s can see, no ear but His can
hear, we may pour out our most hidden desires and longings to the Father of
infinite pity.”
Let’s go meet God where only He can see and where only He
can hear, let’s meet Him one on one and ask of Him. Will you do that? Continue.
Reader: “We may pour out our most hidden desires and
longings to the Father of infinite pity, and in the hush and silence of the
soul, that voice, which never fails to answer the cry of human need, will speak
to our hearts.”
He is our
Father who has a love that cannot bear to not answer our prayers. Continue.
Reader: “[The
Lord is very compassionate and merciful]. (James 5:11) He waits with unwearied
love to hear the confessions of the wayward and to accept their penitence. He
watches for some return of gratitude from us, as a mother watches for the smile
of recognition from her beloved child.”
To His children who are wearied, He wants to hear their
prayers, but instead of praying, they do whatever they want. He watches for
some return of gratitude from us, as a mother watches for the smile of
recognition from her beloved child. When the mother is hugging a baby and the
baby smiles, it makes her happy. In the same way, our Daddy waits for us to
acknowledge Him, so I hope you will go to Him and ask.
Reader: “He
would have us understand how earnestly and tenderly His heart yearns for us.”
He wants us to know how much He loves us. He wants us to
understand. Continue.
Reader: “He
invites us to take our trials to His sympathy, our sorrows to His love, our
wounds to His healing, our weakness to His strength, our emptiness to His
fullness. Never has one been disappointed who came to Him. [Your Father who
sees in secret will reward you]. (Mat 6:6)”
When we are feeling extreme sorrow, when we are in pain and
hurt, or when we are sick and about to die, whatever the situation, we should
call to Him in the time of trouble. For He who sees in secret will reward you.
Reader: “Prayer
is the opening of the heart to God as to a friend.”
This is from a best-selling book called, Steps to Christ.
“Prayer is the opening of the heart to God as to a friend.” When we go to our
friend, do we need anything special? Or do we need someone to speak for us?
When we meet our friend, do we say,” O friend, I ask of you….” Do we have to
speak formally like that? No, we simply say, “Nowadays I have this-and-this
problem, will you help me?” Likewise, we should open our hearts to God, as we
would to a friend. There’s no need to pray with pomp and circumstance like they
do in the world, no need to pray in a complicated procedure. Just go to Him and
sincerely pray, saying, “Dad, I have this problem, will You help me?” And He
will say, “Of course!” I hope you will become close friends with Him. When you
ask our Father to solve one problem, He solves ten, a hundred, all of our
problems for us.
There was once
these parents who lived in the country and they came to visit their son who
lived in a boarding room in Seoul. “Oh Father, can you please fix this for me.”
So the father came and he saw not just that but so many things to be fixed, so
he fixed everything for him. I hope that you will go to our Father and ask Him
for anything. Continue.
Reader: “Our
Father waits to bestow upon us the fullness of His blessing. What a wonder it
is that we pray so little! God is ready and eager to hear the sincere prayer of
the humblest of His children, and yet there is much reluctance on our part to
make known our wants to God. What can the angels of heaven think, of poor
helpless human beings who are subject to temptation, when God’s heart of
infinite love yearns toward them, ready to give them more than they can ask or
think, and yet they pray so little and have so little faith?”
No matter how lowly His child may be, if
that child offers a sincere prayer, there’s not a prayer He will not answer.
Why is there no answer when all those people in the world pray? It is because
they are not praying to our Real Father.
In the temple
of the Israelites, they would pray, but they would not receive an answer even
though there were millions of worshippers. Why was there no answer? It was
because they were not praying to the Father; they were jumping up and down
receiving some strange evil spirit. But look at Jesus. They were in the attic
room and they prayed to God, they prayed to our Real Father and they received
the Holy Spirit, enough to go out and save the whole world. So depending on who
we pray to will we receive an answer or not. Have you met our Real Father? Have
you met your Real Father who begot you with His body? Then I hope you will open
your heart to Him, for then He will answer all your prayers. Even when you’re
shopping and you want to buy something, you can say, “Real Father, I want to
buy something, please let me buy something good.” Or, “Real Daddy, I need to
meet someone, please let me meet him.” Even if you just say it with your lips,
if you pray inside, if it is sincere, He will answer those prayers. I hope that
you’ll go to our almighty, omnipotent God, then there’s not one prayer that
will be offered in vain.
Right now, you
can make calls to the United States. Sometimes it sounds so clear, more so than
if you were talking to someone here in Korea. And that’s just manmade
technology! Because it goes through satellite, everything is so clean and
clear. Then how precise would our conversation be when we go to our Father?
“Oh, will He answer my prayers or not?” There’s no need to think about that. I
hope you will just worry about yourself. Do not worry whether God will or will
not answer, worry about whether you will run away before He can answer your
prayers. So just worry about yourselves and not about whether God will answer
your prayers or not. That’s why when angels see God’s children running around
alone trying to solve a problem, they say, “Ah, our Father is waiting, why
don’t they go to Him?” Let’s read.
Reader: “Satan
encloses those who neglect to pray.”
Satan, this
abductor of the universe, what does he do? He encloses all those who neglect to
go to our Father and walk with Him. Rather he teaches strange things and makes
them his people and his followers. Nowadays, you know what kind of kids
kidnappers take? Kids who have left their parent’s side and are walking around
alone. I hope that you will always hold onto our Real Father’s hand and walk
with Him, to not be abducted by that abductor of the universe, Satan.
Reader: “Why
should the sons and daughters of God be reluctant to pray when prayer is the
key in the hand of faith to unlock heaven’s storehouse.”
Prayer is the
key in the hand of faith to unlock heaven’s infinite storehouse where there is
everything. I hope you will use this key to open and receive everything. But there
are people who have this key in their pockets and yet they let it get rusty.
They even drop it and lose it. I hope you will keep on using that key so that
it is nice and shiny. I hope you will live rich, full, and happy lives.

Reader:
“Through sincere prayer we are brought into connection with the mind of the
Infinite. We may have no remarkable at the time that the face of our Redeemer
is bending over us in compassion and love, but this is even so. We may not feel
His visible touch, but His hand is upon us in love and pitying tenderness.”
Through sincere prayer, we are brought into connection with
the mind of the Infinite. We become one in heart and in love. I hope you will
underline this on page 82. “We may have no remarkable evidence at the time that
the face of our Redeemer is bending over us in compassion and love, but this is
even so. We may not feel His visible touch that He’s touching us, but His hand
is upon us in love and pitying tenderness.”
When a baby is
just born and the father is holding him and says, “Peek-a-boo. Peek-a-boo,”
does the baby know anything? This baby doesn’t even know if it’s the father or
the mother, but it’s still a fact that the father is embracing the baby though
the baby itself isn’t aware of it. He will pat the baby and rub cheeks with it,
but the baby doesn’t know whether it’s the father or another man. Though this
baby isn’t aware of anything, it is a fact that it is his father. In the same
way, when we go to the room and pray and we say, “Daddy, I have this problem,
please help me,” though we can’t see our Father looking at us in pity and love,
it’s a fact. When we are kneeling in our room, He is patting us on the back and
on the head. Though we cannot feel it or see it, our Father’s hand of love is
actually patting us and loving us. What a wonderful Real Father! Now that you
have met Him, I hope that you will never leave Him, but go with Him to heaven.
Why did we wander for 6,000 years away from our Father? We shivered in fear
looking for some intercessor and we couldn’t dare even go to the Father and
pray to Him. What a pitiful religion, fearful religion it has become. How long
did we wander like orphans after leaving our Father? Are you His real children who have
returned to Him?
It is written
in Hosea 11:3, He said, “I taught Ephraim to walk.”
Who is “I”? He’s our Daddy. “I taught Ephraim to walk,
taking him by his arms; but he did not know that I healed him.” He taught us
how to walk, to walk all the way to heaven, and He embraced us, yet we did not
know it, only sleeping.
Reader: “We
should pray in the family circle, and above all we must not neglect secret
prayer. Pray in your room, and as you go about your daily labor, let your heart
be often uplifted to God. It was thus that Enoch walked with God.”
This was the way that Enoch walked with God, not just hand
in hand, but through prayer, and their hearts were joined together. This was
Enoch’s life.
Reader: “My
brothers and sisters. Spread out your wants, your joys, your sorrows, your
cares, and your fears before God. You cannot burden or weary Him. He who
numbers the hairs of your head is not indifferent to the wants of His children.
[The Lord is very compassionate and merciful]. (James6e4q3W I
5:11)”
Our loving
brethren, I hope that you will ask of all your desires to our Real Father. No
matter how many times you go to Him, a hundred, a thousand times, you cannot
bother Him. He is our almighty Father who controls this whole universe, so we can
pray to Him a hundred, a thousand times, but to Him, it’s not a bother. He
wants to hear our prayers and He always says, “Is that all you ask of Me? Ask
for more.” That is what He always says. He always counts the number of hairs on
our heads.
The churches of
the world put God on a pedestal all the way in the third heavens, like some
idol, and they have people hold onto Jesus, and even that, a false Jesus. But
that’s not it at all. Our Father is by our side and He counts the number of
hairs on our heads. I hope you will believe in the words of Jesus. If He were
the God way up in heaven that we could barely see, He would not know whether we
were living or dying, in pain or not. But it’s not like that. He knows how many
black hairs, white hairs, how many blonde hairs we have. Jesus does not lie.
That’s why when Jesus came, He said, “Please throw away all those doctrines
you’ve learned in the church of the Jews. Listen to Me! He loves you so much!
He’s by your side and even counts the number of hairs on your heads.” But still
they forgot all of that and only held onto the false. No matter how much
parents love their children, there’s no parent who knows the exact number of
hairs on their heads. When the children are sleeping, the parents don’t know whether
their children are living or dying or sick, but our Father knows everything.
Let us continue.
Reader: “His
heart of love is touched by our sorrows and even by our utterances of them.
Take to Him everything that perplexes the mind. Nothing is too great for Him to
bear, for He holds up worlds. He rules over all the affairs of the universe.
Nothing that in any way concerns our peace is too small for Him to notice.
There is no chapter in our experience too difficult for Him to unravel. No
calamity can befall the least of His children, no anxiety harass the soul, no
joy cheer, no sincere prayer escape the lips of which our heavenly Father is
unobservant, or in which He takes no immediate interest.”
No matter how terrible the situation may be, how dangerous
it may be, or how small it may be, if it’s for our peace, even if it’s a small
problem, our Father personally appears and settles our problems. Not through
the angels, not through Jesus, but He personally appears and settles the
problems for us. He says, “Call out to Me and I will appear. I will say, ‘Here
I am.’” Our Father really loves us so much. What a wonderful Real Father. Why
does He appear personally? Because we are His real sons and daughters. He
forgets the rest of the universe, for all His joy and delight is in us and when
His children are going through difficulty, will He remain still? Let’s
continue.
Reader: “He
heals the broken-hearted, and binds up their wounds. The relations between God
and each soul are as distinct and full as though there were not another soul
upon the earth to share His watch care, not another soul for whom He gave His
beloved Son.”
Even if there
are five billion people living on this earth, He does not think of their being
five billion. He loves you as if you were the only one. I hope you will not
forget this. Just because parents have many children, if they have ten, twelve,
or even fifteen, will the parents say, “Everyone gather. You are so many that
we cannot love each one of you, so from now on we will love you all together as
one. We will love you as a bundle.” No matter how many children there are, God
loves each and every one of us individually. Parents are individual parents to
each child. “Ah, the oldest loves sweet persimmon, the second loves sour
grapes, and the third one loves apples.” Parents know each one of their
children’s tastes and loves them one by one individually. Likewise, even if
there are five billion people living on this earth, He loves you as if you’re
the only one on this earth. I hope you will not forget this. Never think of
God’s love as a wholesale love.
When I was
young, even though I am still young now, when I was younger, I was living in
Choong-chung Province. But I wanted to live in the countryside, so we moved
deep into the Hadong Valley area in Jiri Mountain. This was my first time
living in that area. I didn’t know the head of the town or the head of the
province. I didn’t know any leader there. I think I was about 29 or 30 years
old. At that time, there was a law that you had to attend the reserve troops
until you’re 30 and during war, you had to fight just like any other soldier.
They called them reserved forces. But one time I had to go training and it was
on the Lord’s Day. I had to go there and receive training. As a man of heaven,
I have to obey heaven’s law, but the laws of this earth were telling me to go,
to receive training on the Lord’s Day. So there were these two laws, and they
were conflicting. But there was no decision to ponder about, I of course kept
heaven’s law and didn’t go, choosing to keep the Sabbath. At the time, someone
else was giving a sermon and I was actually keeping heaven’s law and partaking
in the worship. I was resolved not to go for the training, but I felt a little
afraid inside because I had rejected the training for no particular reason. I
would have to go to jail and I had just moved to this new area in Gyeong-san
Province. I had a wife and children and we were very poor. If I went to jail,
then who would take care of my family? Such struggles began to arise in my head
and I wondered how much pain I would go through when I went to jail. Satan kept
on saying to me, “What are you doing that for? Just believe in moderation. Why
are you putting yourself through this?” I was listening to someone else’s
sermon and while I was praying, my Father gave me this answer. Proverbs 29:25
Reader: [The fear of man brings a snare,
but whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.]
Because I didn’t go to the training and I was sitting at
worship, I was beginning to feel afraid. But my Father answered me with these
words and said, “Son, if you fear man, that will bring you a snare, but if you
trust in Me, if you trust in the Lord, you will be safe.” So I just kept
saying, “Amen.” He kept telling me, “Don’t fear man, don’t fear people. Just
trust in the Lord. Your Daddy will take care of you.” So I said, “Amen, amen.”
I couldn’t even listen to the sermon, I just kept thinking of those words.
After worship, I went home and just as I expected, people came on a motorcycle
to come after me. Trainees had gathered from three districts, and from these
three districts there were 800 soldiers who were to receive training, but there
were only 799. One person was missing. The head of the base, he saw that there
was one person missing and so he threw papers and told them to look for that
one person. The captain came to me and he was shocked. He thought that either I
had gone somewhere or I was sick, but he saw that I was fine and just sitting
around. How could there be someone like this? And he started to get angry, he
couldn’t believe it.
When we fight
with the powers of darkness of this world, we must fight courageously and
strongly. If we fight weakly, then it will overcome us. A woodsman sees a tree
that looks rotten, and if he takes his axe and strikes it once and sees it
shake, he knows it is rotten so he cuts it down. But if he goes to a tree and
strikes it once and it doesn’t move, then he knows it’s not rotten yet so he
just leaves it. We have to be firm and courageous as we fight with the powers
of darkness. “I went to Elijah Mission Institute and it doesn’t seem very
wrong, ah … it’s nothing.” Then Satan attacks you. You must stand firmly and
speak firmly so that he can’t make you fall.
So I told that
captain, “There are those among our brethren who went to jail for seven years
to keep this Lord’s Day. I also am willing to go through that.” What will he
say to someone who is willing to go to jail for seven years to keep the Lord’s
Day? So he said, “Ah, let’s go, let’s go, there’s no use talking to such a
person.” So the captain left with his policemen. “Ah, let’s not bother talking
with him.” The captain took the policemen and when he went back, he got in
trouble again for not bringing me, so the captain and the policemen returned
and said, “What are you doing? Do you really want to go to jail? Change your
clothes and let’s go!” I explained to them quite eloquently again and they left
once more. It was raining a lot and I felt sorry for them. They had to go
through so much trouble because of me. I felt bad, but then should I say, “I’m
sorry” and go with them? I will then be breaking my Father’s law, so I felt
sorry for them, but I couldn’t help myself.
They say that
you must keep your principles strictly. Principles are above any friendship or
any human law, so I prayed for them because I felt sorry for them. Late in the
afternoon, it was almost evening, someone from the district office came and
said, “Let’s go!” It was not a sin to be dragged away so I just followed him.
We went to the district office, and the district officer was so angry, he kept
dropping all these things that he was carrying around, his wallet, papers, and
I would pick them all up for him. We reached the district office and I didn’t
even know who the head of the district was. When we reached the office, an aged
man was so upset and yelling at me, “Christians are supposed to help the
neighborhood. It’s all your fault that we’ve become like this!” I asked who he
was and later found out that he was the head of the district. Maybe he told the
officer who had dragged me in to hit me, but this man came in and punched me. I
thought, “Should the son of God really have to go through this?” and I just
looked at him with pity. Even though he swore at me and hit me, I just looked
at him with eyes of pity. So it was no fun for him. After punching me, he gave
up because I gave no reaction. He only said, “Let’s go.” To where? To the
military base.
I was still
wearing my clothes that I had worn for worship and I had heard that the head of
that military base was very famous for being a vicious man. He was a man who
would even hit and kick those who had been captains and colonels. The men he
was kicking and punching were actually men who were above him. Everyone knew
that he was infamous for being malevolent. Apparently he was working very hard
to be a general, so he had to do well in order to reach the rank of a general.
But when 800 people were supposed gather and there was one man missing, a bad
report would go up, and that was intolerable. And I was heading into that lion’s
den now. Don’t you think I would be afraid? From growing up, I didn’t know what
it meant to be hit. My father raised me so gently. I have six brothers and
sisters and we weren’t hit that much, but among them, I was the most obedient
in the family. I was not even scolded from my parents, and because I obeyed so
well, there was no need to be punished or hit. Even when I grew up and went to
the military service, many people were beaten, and they say that people who say
they were not hit in the army are liars, but I really wasn’t hit once.
In old times, the Korean army was so brutal that they always
beat the soldiers. When I went to do my military service, I was put in the 30th
Regiment, and that place was well known for not giving much food and beating
the soldiers frequently.
So they would
say just be prepared to get hit all the time. I was supposed to go to that
base, but something strange happened. For this one son, our Real Daddy changed
the military law of Korea. Our Daddy can extend or make short the time of grace
for one righteous being. Anyway, in this brutal Korean army where they used to
beat everybody, right before I entered military service, the military law
changed and now they had to take care of the soldiers. If anyone hit a fellow
soldier, they would be sent to jail right away. When you are receiving
training, even more than hitting you, they make you roll around and really give
you a hard time with disciplinary punishment. But the law changed, and if
anyone got bruises, the officers would be sent to jail. So in the evenings, the
officers would ask if there was anyone who got cut or bruised, and when people
said “No,” they would say, “Whew!” and go away. When I was there, they treated
us so well and gave us so much food that I couldn’t even eat all of it and had
to share it with other people. All those soldiers who received training during
that time were comfortable because of this one son. But after I left the
military service, the law changed again and they started to beat and kick
people again. That’s why if you walk with the son of God, you receive such
favors and it’s so profitable.
At last, I had finished my basic training service and
afterwards, people were being sent to this place and that place. The ones who
remained were those whose parents were officers in the army or the children of
congressmen. But as for me, I was nobody, but somehow I ended up remaining with
such people. As the soldiers were leaving, they were saying, “Bye, what if
you’re going to be sent to a dangerous place?” I didn’t even know what they
were talking about. I just said my goodbyes. Supposedly they were talking about
the front line. Everyone left except for some people and me. Then someone came
in and handed out a test paper. It was an English test. They said that we were
going to the US base. I didn’t know then, but later I found out that in order
to go to the US base, you had to have a lot of background and support behind
you. People whose parents were in high positions and with power went there.
They divided us again and later, only four of us were left in the end. All of
them had graduated from college, some were even teachers, but me? I was the
most uneducated. An officer came with an American soldier and gave us a test.
They told us to write down our personal record. We were all at one desk. There
were those who had graduated from college and were teachers, but my handwriting
was better than all of them. Then we were interviewed, and those people could
not answer the questions, so I told them to answer like this and this.
Afterwards, the personnel officer told me, “You, go to the headquarters.” They
sent me to headquarters.
There are A troops, B troops, and C troops, and when you go
there, you really have a hard time. Of course now, going to college is like going
to elementary school, very common, but at that time, if you graduated from
college, you were acknowledged. When I went there, all the Koreans who were
working there were all college graduates or had parents who were congressmen.
I’m sure that people there had no idea how uneducated I was. Even my family had
worried about me saying I would suffer when I entered the military. But my
Father was taking caring of me. Everyone was so kind. A person ranking above me
was so nice to me and spoke to me so respectfully. I thought at first that he
was mocking me, but he would buy me food and clothes.
I really had it
comfortable there. Later, if there were problems, even though there were people
above me, I would take care of those problems. If there were fights, I would
resolve them. Also, if there was any test, I always seemed to come in first. So
they knew if Park KK took a test, then he would always come in first and
everyone else would give up trying to get the best score. I really received a
lot of love there. When the American officers scolded their soldiers, they
would say, “Look at those Korean soldiers.” At the time, we made a dollar a
day, so they would say, “Look at them, they only make a dollar a day and they
are in the military service, but look at you! You make so much money!” And they
would scold the American soldiers. From the beginning of basic training camp to
the rest of my military service, I had received such good treatment.
Afterwards, I
asked to be transferred to a Korean camp, so I moved to Dae-gu after 22 months.
I completed my military training there. It was around the time for me to finish
my service when there was a farewell party that I had to go to; they were all
drinking and partying. I was just standing around when the military police came
and they started to hit everyone for being drunk and making such a ruckus. It
was my turn but I bolted up straight and said, “I can’t get hit!” They should
have hit me even more for protesting, but they stopped and after looking me up
and down, they just moved on. So from when I was young until now, even when I
went to military service, I was never hit even once.
But now, after
having completed all my military service and with a family of my own, I had to
be hit. When I thought about that, I couldn’t believe it. This commander was
famous for even kicking officers older than him. When I thought about that, I
was worried. I held onto the seat in front of me in the bus and prayed the
prayer of Jacob. I said, “Father, I am going to one of the most frightening
commanders. Father, you know me. You took such good care of me and I’ve never
been hit, but when I go in there, he will hit me. When I get hit, I don’t want
to betray You because I am in too much pain, so when I am hit, please let it be
a critical area so that I may die with one blow. And as I die, let me die
holding on to the feet of Jesus.” It was not so much as getting hit but that I
would betray my Father and become a pitiful son. So I only prayed, “Please let
me get hit and die on the spot, and also let me die holding onto the feet of
Jesus.” That was my earnest prayer. What did Jesus say? Those who are willing
to give up their lives for the Gospel will live, and those who just want to
live will die. No matter what situation, we must not be those cowardly sons and
daughters. If I were to die, then no matter if my family was far away, my
Father would take care of them, so I committed my life to Him. And all of a
sudden, while on the bus, my Father gave me such heavenly peace in my heart and
the light of heaven was shining in my heart. Up to now, I was so afraid. I was
worried about my family, I was worried about being hit, but all those worries
disappeared. I was filled with heavenly peace, joy, and happiness. I was not
afraid to die anymore. There was nothing to be afraid of. I had a peace in my
heart that cannot be found on this earth.
The arm has a
lot of muscles and it pops up when you’ve been hit or if you’ve bumped into
something, so I looked at my arm and it had quite a bump on it, so I told the
officer next to me, “If you’re going to hit me, you should have hit me softly.
Why did you hit me so hard?” He thought I would be mad, but instead because I
was smiling and joking with him, he said, “Oh, I’m sorry. Let’s go to the
hospital later.”
Perhaps until he dies, he will not forget my face. When Paul
stoned Stephen to death, he never forgot that face and later he repented. Even
if we die, we must die with our Father’s character. So, I was filled with the
happiness and peace of heaven as we went into the military base.
When we
arrived, we went into the personnel office where they would take me to the
commander who was waiting for me. I didn’t even have a uniform on. I had on the
clothes I had worn for worship. Everyone in there was saying that I was dead.
Soldiers and officers knew what their commander was like and so they were all
muttering, “He’s dead.” This commander even hit high-ranking officers and I was
merely a common soldier, so they said I was finished. “Let’s go to the
commander!” I was three steps behind the captain who brought me there and when
I went in the commander’s office, he was so mad that he couldn’t even sit down.
He was waiting to kill me. While serving the military for three years, I had
never seen anyone as frightening as him. He did not even look like a Korean. He
was tall and usually when one is tall, they are skinny, but he was tall and
fat. His face was very dark and big and his eyes were small and slitty. You
couldn’t even see the whites of his eyes. He had his arms crossed waiting for
me. So I told myself, “No wonder he kicks and beats up other company
commanders.” But there, I met my Daddy.
“[Call upon Me
in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.] I will show
you that I am here with you.” The commander asked the captain in front of me,
“Did he complete the military service?” He replied, “Yes, he did.” Suddenly
that commander who had just been waiting to kill me, his countenance changed.
All of a sudden, his face that was so mad became happy and bright. Please read
Proverbs 21:1.
Reader: [The
king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, like the rivers of water; He turns it
wherever He wishes.]
The king’s
heart, even the hearts of all the Presidents or prime ministers are in the hand
of whom? In the hand of the Lord, hand of our Real Father, so I hope that you
will be rest assured. Whether it’s Mr. Kim of North Korea or the President of
America, all the hearts of the kings of the world are in the hands of Real
Daddy. When all the lawless people of this world attack me, I feel very safe
because our Real Father has control of this whole world. So even the king’s
heart is in the hand of our Father, so how about that commander’s heart? Like
the rivers of water, He turns the water wherever He wants. Whether to the left
or the right, He can do whatever He wants.
He was standing
there waiting for me, and he asked the captain whether I had finished my
military service and when he answered, “Yes,” all of a sudden, this commander’s
face became so bright as he walked over to me shaking my hand, saying, “Why
didn’t you tell me before? If you had told me in advance, I could have helped
you. I would have allowed you to keep the Lord’s Day, why didn’t you just tell
me before?” The captain who followed me stepped back and couldn’t believe what
was going on. They all thought that I would be dead, but it was as if I was a
long lost brother just returned from the Vietnam War, he was shaking my hand so
enthusiastically. The captain was amazed and stepped back, saying, “Bring
someone from personnel!” A low-positioned soldier who couldn’t even walk
because he knew how angry his commander was, ran forward and said, “Yes, I’ll
bring an officer!” and an officer came. “Yes, Sir!” “Make it so that he doesn’t
have to receive any training. Send him somewhere, to the office.”
Of course now
the personnel office was overturned. They thought that I would be dead, but why
was the commander treating him so well? So the person from personnel was taking
me out. The commander said, “Let’s go,” I just followed. Before, they didn’t
even give me a chair, but now they gave me a chair. “Here, please sit here and
you can keep the Lord’s Day” So I just sat in the chair until the sun went
down. After the sun went down, he said “Let’s go.” I was taken to the training
area.
There was a hill and there were tents on the hill. 799
soldiers had their helmets on with full equipment and gear; they had been in
training all day long since morning. But at evening time, they watched as some
man walking by. From six in the morning they had been working, but they saw
someone walking by and he didn’t even have a uniform on, just regular civilian
clothes, walking by with his hands in his pockets. They all must have thought,
“Boy, he must have a lot of power behind him. We worked all morning long, but
look at him. He comes late in the afternoon, not even with his uniform on, with
his hands in his pockets. He must have someone big behind him.” Of course I did.
They told me to
just sit down on a chair. The next day, my wife brought me my uniform and I
received special treatment and completed my training there. When it was time to
go back home, this commander came to me and shook my hand, saying, “Oh, good
job, good job!” I don’t know why he was so happy, but he was shaking my hand. I
hope you will call the Lord on the day of trouble. The fear of man brings what?
Brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord will be safe. There are many
young men here who will go to military service. That is why I‘m telling you
about my experience. So be rest assured. The heart of kings or prime ministers
or anyone else is in the hands of the Lord. So don’t worry about anything. Just
walk with Him hand in hand.
That captain
may not know why I was being treated so well by the company commander, and
those who worked in the personnel’s office probably didn’t know why either. The
commander himself probably didn’t know why he was treating me so well even
though I had disobeyed the military command. Only my Daddy knows. “There’s no
one who knows this love except those who receive it.” I hope you will walk in
happiness with Real Daddy. I did not go to jail, I was not even cursed at; I
received such good treatment. I hope you will keep our Daddy’s principles and
His holy laws. Continue.
Reader: Jesus says, [You will ask in My name, and I do not
say to you that I shall pray the Father for you; for the Father Himself loves
you]. (Joh 16:26)
Here, do we
have an intercessor or not? Our Father said He will personally appear and solve
everything. Continue.
Reader: “[I
chose you … that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He may give you].
(John 15:16) Our God is a tender, merciful Father. Service to Him should not be
looked upon as a sorrowful and distressing event. It should be a pleasure to
worship the Lord and take part in His work. God would not have His children,
for whom so great a salvation has been provided, to act as if He were a hard,
exacting taskmaster. He is their best Friend. Let us with joy come before our
Father, with [thanksgiving and the voice of melody] (Isa 51:3). Praise the
Lord!”
It says here
that “God would not have His children, for whom so great a salvation has been
provided, to act as if He were a hard, exacting taskmaster.”
He does not
want us to act like a servant and treat Him like some master because that
really bothers Him and pains Him. You should consider Him as your wonderful
Friend and our Real Father. I hope that you’ll get to know Him and become close
with Him like parents and children.
One time, I was
on the bus and I saw a father over fifty. He was drunk and in pain. I asked,
“What’s wrong?” He said, “I raised my children and now that they’re all grown
up, they don’t even come close to me. They make me feel so lonely.” Parents
want their children to come close to them. They don’t want their children to
give them a room and just supply them with food. They want their children to
come to them and have a close relationship with them. Our Father is the same.
He doesn’t want us to treat Him like some majesty, saying, “O high and lofty
God of heaven, be glorified….” No. He wants us to come close to Him. So our
Father will meet us one on one in our room personally, saying, “What is it?”
And He will answer all our prayers, even the smallest problems. He will
personally come to settle them all. So, do we have an intercessor or not? We do
not have an intercessor. It would be strange and ridiculous for an intercessor
to stand in between a father and his own children. How strange it would be for
someone to stand between the President and his children? I hope that you will
go to Him and show Him how much you love Him, to receive all the treasures of
heaven.
Since I teach
this way, the world says, “Ah, look at that Teacher Park! He denies the
intercession of Jesus.” I do not deny the intercession of Jesus. I acknowledge
it. Let’s look at page 139. If you look at the third line from the bottom, it
says:
Reader: “He is
our Sacrifice, our Advocate, and our Eldest Brother.”
Who is He? He
is our Advocate. Do I acknowledge it or not? Yes, I acknowledge it. Let’s look
at page 335. It says here, “The Ministration of the Heavenly Sanctuary.” The
fifth line from there.
Reader: “But
now we are living in a most solemn and fearful time when Jesus, our High
Priest, is in the Most Holy Place of the heavenly sanctuary, where abides our
heavenly Father seated on His throne surrounded by thousands and ten thousands
of angels and seraphim. He is now about to close His work of intercession, His
last petition being offered up to the Father with His blood on behalf of every
child….”
Here in the Most Holy Place, in the heavenly sanctuary,
Jesus is the Intercessor. Is He the Intercessor or not? He is. Then am I
denying Him as an intercessor? No, I am acknowledging Him as an intercessor. So
how can I deny Him being the Intercessor when I am the one who acknowledges it?
Why wouldn’t I when I myself am an intercessor?
You may think,
“A short while ago, you said that there is no intercessor and now you’re saying
that there is an intercessor. So what do you really mean?” Let me explain it to
you. Just don’t tell anyone outside. You should give pearls only to those who
know the value of pearls. If you just give it to those who don’t know its
value, it is a waste. Then why do I say that sometimes we don’t need an
intercessor and that sometimes there is an intercessor?
In a certain kingdom,
there was a king. This king had a prince, his only son, and he loved his prince
so much and the prince loved his father so much as well. Even when he was
sitting on the throne, he always had the prince on his lap.
So this baby
prince grew up and he became a young man. (Teacher draws a diagram) Here is the
father and his son. At that time, there was a law in the kingdom. If you
committed a certain severe crime, you had to have both your eyes plucked out,
and this prince committed that very crime. He became a criminal. So this king
expected his son to come and repent, but instead, the king was living his life
and the son was living his life, avoiding his father. So the king got very
angry and he said, “Bring that sinner to me!” They brought him and had him
kneel before the king. “Take out his eyes!” But all the ministers of the court
said, “O King, please be patient. He is your only son who will rule over the
country. Forgive him!” “No! As a prince he is supposed to keep and observe the
law and set an example! Take his eyes out!” But who could dare take out the
eyes of the prince? So the king got up from his throne and took a flaming stick
and stuck it in his son’s eye. The prince cried out in agony. Then the king
took the stick and plucked out one of his own eyes. The law demanded two eyes
so now there were two eyes. Since two eyes were plucked, the law was kept and
fulfilled. Now the sin was resolved.
When Jesus died
on the cross of Calvary, do you think Satan killed Jesus? No, it wasn’t Satan
but our Father who killed him. How could Satan kill the Son of God? Our Father
killed Him. For who? For you and me. When we sinned, in order to atone for our
sins, Jesus had to take out one of His eyes and our Father picked out one of
His own eyes, They both died. We killed Jesus. Then we became blameless. Our
Father loved us so much that He was willing to give up His only Son. What’s so
wrong with thanking Him for that? Why do we leave our Father to be alone? Why
do we say He’s a fanatic and reject Him? He gave up His eldest Son as a
sacrifice for us. I hope you will never leave Him again.
So now, since both eyes had been taken out, the sin was
atoned. The king came down from his throne and held onto his son, and the son
said, “I did not know you would do that! Father, I am sorry.” And they became a
happy father and son once more. When the father was saying, “Take out his eye!”
Was he a father or a judge? He was a judge. When it comes down to fair
judgment, there is no father or son. He is a judge who pronounces judgment. But
after the eyes were plucked out, was he a judge or a father? He became a father
once again. That is why sometimes we have an intercessor on our behalf and
sometimes we don’t.
How about
another story?
There was a father
and three sons. But the second and youngest son made a mistake and the father
chased them out of the house. “Don’t ever come back home!” So the youngest son
ran over here and the second son ran over there. After the father chased them
out, he stopped eating, he couldn’t even sleep, and he locked the door to his
room. He wouldn’t come out. As the oldest son watched, he saw that his father
was not eating that day or the next. Now it seemed as if the father would pass
away, so the oldest son packed his bag and went to be an intercessor to join
both sides. An intercessor is like a mediator. He went to the youngest brother
saying, “You better go back home. After Father chased you out, he stopped
eating and he might die.”
“Alright,
Brother,” and the youngest brother returned home saying, “Father, I’m sorry.”
“Don’t worry, I’ve already forgotten all about it, but then
what about your second brother?”
Since this youngest son returned, does the oldest brother
need to be a mediator for the youngest brother or not?
There is no
need because he returned to the father. But this oldest brother needs to be an
intercessor for whom? For the second brother.
Is Jesus an intercessor in heaven or not? He is, but He is
not an intercessor for all of you who have returned to our Father. Have you
returned to the Father? Yes, you are like the youngest son who has returned to
Him. But there are still five billion people, all those denominations, all
those people in the world, even today, Jesus is standing as an intercessor for
all of them. That’s why sometimes there is an intercessor and sometimes there
isn’t. Do you understand? But in the world, they know nothing. They just say,
“Oh, that Teacher Park denies that there is an intercessor.”
Imagine there
is a young man and a young woman who are about to get married and there is
someone who is mediating for them, a matchmaker, then after they are married,
does the matchmaker continue to speak and work for them? This matchmaker’s job
is finished once they are married. Jesus is a matchmaker, a mediator, to join
the heavenly Father and the earthly children. Have you been joined to the
Father? Then you do not need a mediator or an intercessor anymore. But there is
a time when you may need an intercessor again. When? If you leave our Father
and sin again, then you will need the blood of the Intercessor. That is why
while the Intercessor is still alive and while He is still mediating for us, we
must quickly become sealed as righteous beings. How long will Jesus be a mediator?
Once Jesus stops His intercession, there will be no one to mediate for your
sins, to forgive or atone for your sins.
Can you please write this down?
“The words that
God is the God of wrath, and the God of judgment, etc., were written in the Bible
to explain to His children on earth the fair law of the universe. It was to
make us fear the fair law of the universe in our hearts, not to show that God
Himself is a fearful God and a God of judgment. Rather, it was God imploring,
‘My children, the law of the universe is such a fearful law of wrath and law of
judgment, so flee from the law and judgment and find refuge in the arms of your
compassionate Father of infinite love, who gave up His only Son for you as the
lamb of sacrifice, who is waiting for you with outstretched arms.’” Can you
please read that again, see how well you wrote.
Reader: “The
words that God is the God of wrath, and the God of judgment, etc., were written
in the Bible to explain to His children on earth the fair law of the universe.
It was to make us fear the fair law of the universe in our hearts, not to show
that God Himself is a fearful God and a God of judgment. Rather, it was God
imploring, ‘My children, the law of the universe is such a fearful law of wrath
and law of judgment, so flee from the law and judgment and find refuge in the
arms of your compassionate Father of infinite love, who gave up His only Son
for you as the lamb of sacrifice, who is waiting for you with outstretched
arms.’”
Did you write
it down well? Do you know what this means? When you look at the Bible, you see
that God is a God of wrath and the God of judgment. It’s mentioned quite
frequently in the Bible. That is why all the churches in the world are
trembling in fear because they are afraid. So if you don’t know how to read the
Bible, then it will only lead you to death. “Ah, we will be cursed and judged.”
How should you read it then? Everything about it, the God of wrath, God of
judgment, a fearful God, is to look at it how?
It’s not God who is fearful, loves to judge, and is
wrathful. The Bible is trying to show us that the law of this universe is such
a fearful law of judgment, so avoid the law.
Get away from
the law and go to our Father, who is waiting with open arms having already
sacrificed His Son in our stead. Do you understand this? That is why whenever
we read about the God of wrath, the God of judgment, a fearful God, it’s not to
teach us that God is fearful, but that the law of the universe is fearful. Just
like when the king took out the eye of his son, at that time he was a judge, he
was not a father. Avoid the judgment and go into the Father’s arms. Can you
understand this? I hope you will read the Bible with this in mind from now on.
Since you have all entered into our Real Father’s arms, is there judgment for
you? Is there an intercessor for you? Now all you have to do is be happy and
live with Him for eternity.
Nowadays in the
world, they write books about the sanctuary and they spread these books around.
I hope that you will not read those kinds of books. They’re all lies. They say,
“Oh, we will be following Jesus into the sanctuary.” Can you see the sanctuary?
We cannot even see things ahead of us and have to wear glasses. Then how can we
follow Him to the heavenly sanctuary? Then it says Jesus is ministering in
heaven. What a lie. How can Jesus be ministering in heaven? What does the
mediator do? He joins who and who? Jesus came to join who and who? He came to
join the heavenly Father to all His children on this earth. That work has to
take place and that is the work of intercession. Then does Jesus in heaven have
a PA system to America, Germany, Japan, shouting out, “All of you return to
your Father!” Is He doing that or not? Then who will join all the children on
this earth to the heavenly Father? It must be fulfilled on this earth for this
earth to be saved and this work to end. Then, we must seek Him to follow Him to
the heavenly sanctuary, but how can we follow Him when we can’t see Him? Jesus
is doing His work of intercession on this earth and that is what the Bible
says, and that is what I wrote in my book. So where is He doing this work then?
At the Elijah Gospel Missionary Institute. Though there may be so many
denominations in this world, is there any intercessor there telling us to
return to the heavenly Father? There’s only one place on this earth doing that.
Here at the Elijah Gospel Mission Institute, we are crying out to the whole
world for all the children to return to the Father. This is the actual work of
intercession being fulfilled on this earth.
If you look in
the Bible, it says “Just as it is fulfilled in heaven, let it be fulfilled on
this earth.” That’s why Jesus said, “As it’s been fulfilled in heaven, may it
be fulfilled on this earth.” On earth as it is in heaven. The most astonishing
and startling event is taking place right now. Before the intercession of Jesus
ends, you must bring your families, your children, your friends, and other
church members, and have them return to our Father. When Jesus ends His work of
intercession and when His voice ends, no more will there be opportunity for
salvation or forgiveness. We are in a very solemn time now. That which is
written in the Bible must be fulfilled for this work to be completed on this
earth, and if it is written that Elijah must appear, then Elijah must appear.
If it’s the work of Daniel, then the work of Daniel must be fulfilled on this earth.
It’s the same with the work of intercession by Jesus. While Jesus is standing
as an intercessor for us, we must quickly become righteous and be sealed as
eternally righteous beings.
Very shortly,
you and all the people of the world will say, “Oh, let’s listen to the words of
eternal life,” and they will come from America and other countries, but they
will find the doors of Elijah Gospel Missionary Institute shut closed. It will
be no more and they will shed tears. So before then, you must quickly become
perfect.
