HAPPINESS OF LIVING WITH GOD IN THE MOUNTAINS

T
his hour, the title is “Happiness of Living with God in the Mountains.” It can also be interpreted as “The Happiness of Sages Who Live with God in the Mountains.” I will explain to you the happiness of living with our heavenly Father in the mountains. The history of the universe has always been fulfilled in the mountains.
In Genesis 49:26, it’s written [eternal mountains]. It means the mountains have been in existence since the beginning of time and will exist throughout time eternal. It’s written that the remnant will be [as a pole on top of a mountain and as a banner on a hill.] In other words, the remnant to ascend to heaven will all depart from the world and remain to the end as a pole on top of a mountain.
Ezekiel 34:6, 13-14 reads, [My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and on every high hill] … [and I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land; I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, in the valleys and in all the inhabited places of the country. I will feed them in good pasture, and their fold shall be on the high mountains of Israel. There they shall lie down in a good fold and feed in rich pasture on the mountains of Israel.]
So it is written, [My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and on every high hill]. These high hills refer to the mountains. He picks His sheep from here and there from the mountains to take them to their own land, back to heaven. If you want to go to heaven, I hope that you will live in the mountains.
Ezekiel 34:26 reads, [I will make them and the places all around My hill a blessing; and I will cause showers to come down in their season; there shall be showers of blessing.]
So where does the latter rain of blessings fall? It falls on the hills and in the mountains. Although they try very hard to receive the latter rain in the cities, where is the only place the latter rain falls down in torrents? It falls only in the mountains. That is why it is important for you to know where to pray. Where are we now? We are in the mountains. It is written that the latter rain showers will fall in the mountains.
Genesis 19:17 reads, [So it came to pass, when they had brought them outside, that he said, “Escape for your life! Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be destroyed.”] So in the Sodom and Gomorrah of the world that is about to fall into ruins, where must you go in order to live? “Quickly escape to the mountains.” We must quickly escape to the mountains and save our lives from this earth that is about to be destroyed.
Genesis 22:2 reads, [Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you.] That is why the work of saving humanity was fulfilled in the mountains of Moriah. When Abraham was told to sacrifice his son, it was the preparation for our salvation when our heavenly Father gave up His Son (Jesus) on Mt. Gethsemane. Both events occurred in the mountains: Mt. Moriah and Mt. Gethsemane. In the mountains the path to salvation is opened; salvation comes from the mountains.
If you look in Exodus 3:4 and 19:3, it’s written, [God called Moses from the midst of the bush in the mountain] [and Moses went up to God, and the LORD called to him from the mountain, saying, “Thus you shall say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel”]…. Whenever God prepared His sons to go out to the world and be a savior, He called them to the mountain and prepared them in the mountain.
Exodus 3:12 says, [So He said, “I will certainly be with you. And this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”]

So to where does God first call His children who will be sent out to save the world? He calls them to the mountains and prepares them in the mountains. Then when God sends His Son to the world, where does He take His people? He takes them to the mountains. The people will leave the filthy cities of sin and be guided to the mountains to serve Him there. “And this shall be a sign that I sent you.” The sign that one has been sent by God is that he leads the people out from the secular world into the mountains. Do you understand? Those who lead people to the city saying we have to evangelize in the city, and take the people there, are not sent by God. I hope that you will follow the messenger of God who takes people out from the cities into the mountains. Only when you follow him can you live.
Exodus 19:14 says, [So Moses went down from the mountain to the people and sanctified the people, and they washed their clothes.]
What does this mean? It is when you follow the messenger who has been prepared by God in the mountain that your clothes of character will be cleaned in a holy way. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that your clothes of character would be cleaned by following someone who came out of a theology school in the city. There is no mention of God’s Son leading people into the city. When we follow God’s Son who was prepared in the mountains and sent out into the world to lead the people of the world back to the mountains, that is when our clothes of character will be purified.
If you look at Exodus 19:20, 19, [Then Jehovah came down upon Mount Sinai, on the top of the mountain. And Jehovah called Moses…]. Whenever God called His sons from the world, He always called them to the mountain. Nowhere in the Bible is there a single verse that says He called them to the cities or schools. Is there any record of God calling people to a theology school and preparing them there? Nowadays, people are going to the wrong places and learning the wrong things, killing people with false teachings. We must go to the place where God calls us. Only there can we learn true religion.
[…to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up. And when the blast of the trumpet sounded long and became louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by voice.]
Do you want to hear God’s voice directly? Then you must go to the mountains. When you go to the mountains, you will be able to hear His voice.
Exodus 24:12 reads, [Then Jehovah said to Moses, “Come up to Me on the mountain and be there; and I will give you tablets of stone, and the law and commandments which I have written, that you may teach them.”]
Would you also like to receive God’s handwritten tablets of stone? Then you must quickly go to the mountains. When you go to the mountains, you will be able to see the law of love personally inscribed by the finger of God, that astonishing grand truth written by His own hand.
Exodus 24:17-18 says, [The sight of the glory of Jehovah was like a consuming fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes of the children of Israel. So Moses went into the midst of the cloud and went up into the mountain. And Moses was on the mountain forty days and forty nights.]
Would you like to see the glory of God’s consuming fire? Then please go to the mountain. When you go there, you will be able to see the holy fire of the Holy Spirit.
Psalms 99:9 says, [Exalt Jehovah our God, and worship at His holy hill; for Jehovah our God is holy.]
Though you may hear that cities or the world has become corrupt, you will never hear that the mountains became corrupt. It’s written that you should exalt our God Jehovah and worship Him in the holy and untainted mountains, to raise your voices there and praise Jehovah. It’s written to praise Him with all your hearts there. You know, singing praises to God in the church, in the city, or in the mountains are completely different experiences. When you sing praises to our Father in the mountains to your heart’s content, it’s truly a wonderful experience.
Psalms 68:16, [This is the mountain which Jehovah desires to dwell. Yes the Lord will dwell in it forever.] Truly God dwells in the mountain forever, and that is why you can find our Father there.
Now if you want to meet God in the mountains, what kind of person must you be? Just because you go to the mountain does not mean that anyone can meet God. He only meets those He wants to meet. Who are these people?
Let’s look at Psalms 15:1-5, [O LORD, who may abide in your tent? Who may dwell on your holy hill? Those who walk blamelessly, and do what is right, and speak the truth from their heart; who do not slander with their tongue, and do no evil to their friends, nor take up a reproach against their neighbors; in whose eyes the wicked are despised, but who honor those who fear the LORD; who stand by their oath even to their hurt; who do not lend money at interest, and do not take a bribe against the innocent. Those who do these things shall never be moved.] (NRSV)
“O Jehovah! Who may dwell on Your holy hill with You?” When you go to the mountains, you often see people carrying radios and there is so much noise pollution. In the mountains, there are so many beautiful birds’ songs, the sound of laughing brooks, the wind – how lovely they all sound! But instead of enjoying these sounds, they create so much noise by carrying a radio or bringing alcohol and polluting the air with their drunken songs. Such people will never meet God even if they were to go to the mountains for a hundred or a thousand days. Who can meet God then?
“O Jehovah! Who may dwell with You in Your holy hill? First, they must be blameless and do what is right. They must speak the truth from the heart and not slander with their tongue. They must not do any evil to their friends or take up a reproach against their neighbors. Their eyes would despise the wicked (they would not acquaint themselves with foolish people), and they would honor those that fear Jehovah and be friends with such people. They would stand by their oath even if it should hurt or harm them, and would not lend money to the poor demanding interest for it. (How impoverished must someone be to borrow money from you! They would have a hard time to even pay off the loan, but to demand an interest for it as well, how could they make ends meet then? So God will only meet those who would not do such a thing.) Also, they would not take bribes against the innocent. (Nowadays, judges in the world all take bribes. But God will never meet such people who accept bribes, even if they were to go to the mountains a hundred days.) Those who do these things shall never be moved.”
So those who reject bribes, who do not take interest on loans, who do not slander their neighbors, who despise foolish beings, who are friends with those that fear Jehovah, who speak the truth, who do not make false charges against others, who remain unchanging to their oaths even at their own peril – such upright people with integrity will be able to meet God when they go to the mountains.
In Habakkuk 3:3, where does it say God’s glory comes from? [God came from Teman, the Holy One from Mount Paran. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of His praise.] It’s written that the Holy One comes from Mount Paran and His glory covers the heavens. All glory comes from heaven. Where did Moses behold the glory of God? He saw it on Mount Sinai. Where did Jesus see this glory? He saw it on the Mount of Transfiguration. Do you wish to see the glory of God? Then please go to the mountains.
Psalms 87:1 says, [His foundation is in the holy mountains.] Just as armies have their bases, God’s base is in the mountains. He does not build His base in the filthy, corrupt cities, nor in the wilderness. He establishes His base in the untainted and holy, uncorrupt mountain where He awaits us.
Isaiah 49:11 reads, [I will make each of My mountains a road, and My highways shall be elevated.] God’s road is in the mountains, and His highway is in the mountains as well. If you want to hold God’s hand and walk with Him, you must go to the mountains. [Truly He abides in the mountain forever.] Truly our Father eternally loves the mountains.
Isaiah 14:13 reads, [I will also sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest sides of the north]. Even in heaven, He is in the mountains. On the earth, He is in Mount Sinai. He even appeared before Jesus in the Mount of Transfiguration. And in these last days as well, it is in the mountains that He abides with us, whispering His words of love, calling us and urging us to live with Him together. I hope that you will not delay but go directly to Him.
Psalms 21:1 reads, [I will lift up my eyes to the hills; from whence comes my help? My help comes from Jehovah in the mountain, who made heaven and earth.] Do you wish to receive help from Jehovah? Then may you lift your eyes to the mountain. May you go there to pray.
Isaiah 11:9 reads, [They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of Jehovah as the waters cover the sea.] When you go to the mountains, you will neither be hurt nor come to harm. It is in the cities that people get hurt, many are wounded at heart from the world. But have you ever heard of anyone being hurt or scarred in the mountain? Rather, all damaged hearts and wounded souls from the world are healed when they come to the mountain. That is why there is no injury or harm that comes to anyone in the mountain. It’s written that as the waters cover the sea, so the knowledge of eternal life in knowing Jehovah is in abundance in the mountain. All the knowledge of Jehovah that I possess I received in the mountain. If you also want to receive and grow in this astonishing truth, then may you also go to the mountains.
Isaiah 13:4 says, [The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like that of many people! A tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together! Jehovah of hosts musters the army for battle.]
The noise of a multitude is heard from the mountains. What is this referring to? It sounds like many people gathered in the mountains. Why? When you look to the Bible, it says, [Jehovah of hosts musters the army for battle.] The army of the Lord will be there for the last great controversy between good and evil. Would you like to be a warrior in Jehovah’s army? Then you must go to the mountains. He will select His warriors there.
Where are you right now? You are in the mountains at Elijah Gospel Missionary Institute.  Does it not seem like all of God’s warriors will be chosen from here? Yes, He’s selecting and choosing His warriors right now. Who will become His warriors? We must quickly go to the mountains and become part of Jehovah’s army.
In Isaiah 25:6-8, there is a great feast. [And Jehovah of hosts will prepare a lavish banquet for all peoples on this mountain; a banquet of aged wine, choice pieces with marrow, and refined, aged wine. And on this mountain He will swallow up the covering which is over all peoples, even the veil which is stretched over all nations. He will swallow up death for all time, and the Lord GOD will wipe tears away from all faces, and He will remove the reproach of His people from all the earth; for Jehovah has spoken.]
Jehovah’s name is mentioned twice in succession as a sealing at the beginning and at the end. It is in the mountains that a lavish banquet will be prepared for all the children of the world, and what kind of banquet is this? Where will it be held? In the mountains, Jehovah of hosts will prepare a lavish banquet with the choicest foods that heaven can provide. With “refined, aged wine,” which means it was prepared since ancient times. So with the new wine prepared just for us, He prepares “a banquet of … choice pieces with marrow,” food that will make our souls fat and strong.
[…and refined, aged wine. And on this mountain He will swallow up the covering which is over all peoples, even the veil which is stretched over all nations. He will swallow up death for all time…]. After feasting to your hearts’ content, you receive the power to overcome death. You receive the strength of a lifetime to pierce through death. Did that happen with you this time? Yes, you received eternal life.
[…and the Lord GOD will wipe tears away from all faces, and He will remove the reproach of His people from all the earth…]. Not only do those who eat from Jehovah’s banquet of choice pieces with marrow receive the strength to overcome death, but all the reproach from the world is removed as well. People in the world don’t even know whether they have fallen into sin or not. But sitting here, all the reproach of your sins are uncovered, the veil lifted, and death is forever destroyed. It is because you ate the food that our Father gives that your eyes were opened and you received strength. And with comfort poured upon you in abundance, the tears from your eyes are wiped away. You become a perpetually happy people who are never sad again, only filled with peace and joy. Also, the shame of His people throughout their lifetime are all removed here, to make you into a person who will never again be ashamed. Have you become like that?
Isaiah 40:9 says, [O Zion, You who bring good tidings, get up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, you who bring good tidings, lift up your voice with strength, lift it up, be not afraid; say to the cities of Judah, “Behold your God!”]
Would you like to be God’s sons and daughters who spread good tidings to the whole world? What are these good tidings? The “good tidings” you will spread is eternal life. To tell a condemned criminal the news, “You will live forever,” [you who bring good tidings] to the whole world! Where should you go first? [Get up into the high mountain.] What does that mean? It means to go to the mountain and meet God. And then afterwards, [Lift up you voice with strength, lift it up]. And what do you say? [Behold your God!]
If you want to be those who spread good tidings to the world, then you must quickly go up into the mountains and meet God. Then afterwards, you can come down like Moses and Jesus and become the beautiful sons and daughters of God who spread good tidings to the world. It does not say, “You who bring good tidings, go to the city! Go to a certain meeting in the city! Go to a theological school!” He wants us to go to mountains. I hope that you will go to the mountains and meet our Father there, to become a person who spreads the good tidings to the whole world.
In Nahum 1:15, it’s written, [Behold, on the mountains the feet of him who brings good tidings, who proclaims peace!] So the feet of him who brings good tidings, who proclaims peace, is not in the city. It’s written he’s in the mountain.
If you look in Isaiah 56:7, it says, [Even them I will bring to My holy mountain, and make them joyful in My house of prayer.] If you want to enjoy happiness in God, then may you go to the holy, uncorrupted mountains. [Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on My altar;] the worship and praise that are offered in the mountain will be gladly accepted by our Father.
Isaiah chapter 65 verse 11 to 12, [But you are those who forsake Jehovah, who forget My holy mountain, who prepare a table for Gad, and who furnish a drink offering for Meni. Therefore I will number you for the sword, and you shall all bow down to the slaughter]. Now those who “forsake Jehovah,” God our Real Father, and “who forget My holy mountain, who prepare a table for Gad, and who furnish a drink offering for Meni, I will number you for the sword and you shall all bow down to the slaughter.”
After the earth’s last sealing angel passes, what angel will come next? It will be the slaughtering angel, the angel that kills. It’s written that all men, women, children, elderly, infants – all will be destroyed without distinction. What kind of people will this angel kill? Where did I say God can be found? I said He is in the mountain. Those who forsake this God in the mountain, who forget His holy mountain – this Gad refers to the god of luck. Meni refers to the god of fate. So those who live in the cities and entrust themselves to the god of luck and the god of fate will be the first ones to be struck by the sword of the angel of slaughter. Do you understand? These days, even Christians say, “Ah, whatever happens, happens,” and they live in the city. That is the act of preparing a table for the god of luck and furnishing a drink offering for the god of fate. We must live with our mentality intact, the driver of our own lives. Why should you entrust yourselves to the gods of luck and fate? That is fanaticism. They’ve lost their own minds, saying, “Oh you must leave everything up to fate.” So before the slaughtering angel comes, I hope that you will go to the mountains and live with God.
There is an alarm bell that rings throughout the whole world, saying, “Urgent! Come to your senses now. You must quickly prepare yourselves.” And from where does that emergency signal come from? The book of Joel 2:1. [Blow the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; for the day of Jehovah is coming, for it is at hand]. So [Blow the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in My holy mountain!] And [Let all the inhabitants of the land] who are in the city and in the world [tremble; for the day of Jehovah is coming]. On the day of Jehovah, would you all not like to be a trumpet? I hope that you will not be the ones who are running away but those who are the trumpets. For that to happen, you must go to the mountain and receive the trumpet from our Father. The trumpet that I’m blowing right now I received from my Father in the mountains.
Joel 2:32, [And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of Jehovah shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, as Jehovah has said, among the remnant whom Jehovah calls.]
It means to not call on Jehovah’s name in the cities but call upon Jehovah’s name in the mountain. When you do, you will be called by Jehovah to ascend to heaven.
Joel 3:17 reads, [So you shall know that I am Jehovah your God, dwelling in Zion My holy mountain.] Verse 18 reads, [And it will come to pass in that day that the mountains shall drip with new wine, the hills shall flow with milk, and all the brooks of Judah shall be flooded with water; a fountain shall flow from the house of Jehovah and water the Valley of Acacias.]
[And it will come to pass in that day that the mountains shall drip with new wine, the hills shall flow with milk]. So from the mountain flows out new wine, and from the hills there is the divine milk of the Holy Spirit that flows out. And from the house of Jehovah, there will be a fountain with the water of life flowing out to water the Valley of Acacias, that sinful world, to nourish them all. These words have been fulfilled in you this very day.
Right now, is the new wine of the Holy Spirit flowing out from this nameless hill? Is the divine milk of the Holy Spirit flowing out from here? Is the fountain of life flowing out from Jehovah’s mountain to water the Valley of Acacias of the whole world? This world will end after all these words are fulfilled. There is not one thing that is not prophesied of. Even the soldiers gambling for the outer garment of Jesus was all prophesied. So how could this temple that will save the whole world not be prophesied? That’s why it is written, [The mountains will bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.] (Psa 72:3) So it is by going to the mountains that you will receive peace.
Haggai 1:8 reads, [“Go up to the mountains and bring wood and build the temple, that I may take pleasure in it and be glorified,” says the LORD.]
He says, [“Go up to the mountains and bring wood and build] My [temple], My sanctuary, [that I may take pleasure] and [be glorified.”] Isn’t that strange? God is saying that we can’t build with the wood from the fields. We can’t use the wood by the river to build His temple. Only by going to the mountain and getting the wood there can we build His temple of which He will take pleasure in, revealing His glory there. What does this mean? It’s not referring to a literal tree out there, but “Go up to the mountain and with the wood of truth, build your heart’s temple, the temple of your character.” Only then will He take pleasure in it and receive glory. I hope that you will take the wood of truth from the mountain and like Noah, build the temple of your heart. Only then will a path of escape be opened to you in this generation.
If you look in the Song of Solomon, our Father loves us so much and becomes so lovesick that He faints. He even dies later. You may think, “Really?” Do you really think so? Never mind being merely lovesick, He even dies. He even dies for those whom He loves, so being lovesick is nothing. Then what kind of people does our Father and Jesus love so much to the point of lovesickness? It’s not just anyone. He doesn’t love those smelly Christians. There are those whom He truly loves. You learned before that there are people He loves, hates, likes, and dislikes, didn’t you? Then who does He love like this to the point of lovesickness?
Let’s read Song of Solomon 2:8-9, [The voice of my beloved! Behold, he comes leaping upon the mountains, skipping upon the hills. My beloved is like a gazelle or a young stag.] “It’s the voice of My beloved, the one for whom I am lovesick! Behold! He comes leaping upon the mountains and skipping upon the hills.” So those whom He loves are so agile and quick in the mountains, like a gazelle or young stag. Those who climb the mountains with such agility, quick and graceful like a gazelle or stag are the very ones whom God loves to the point of lovesickness. Why is that?
One time when I went up to Songni Mountain, it was a holiday and there were so many people from the world that had come. All these fat people came and I watched them to see who were like the gazelle, graceful and quick in the mountains, but there was not a single one. They were just big and sluggish, huffing and puffing. But our brethren were like gazelles going up that mountain. Then why does our Father love those who are able to climb the mountain with the grace and agility of a gazelle or stag? It’s because it means they have gone to the mountains that often and become friends with God. How long they must have lived with God in the mountains to climb it like a gazelle or stag! That is why God loves – to the point of lovesickness – those who have grown so deeply fond of the mountains. I hope that you will quickly go to the mountains and live there, to be able to climb it like a gazelle.
In Song of Solomon 2:17, it’s written, [Until the day breaks and the shadows flee away, turn, my beloved, and be like a gazelle or a young stag upon the mountains of Bether.]
While the shadows of this earth’s sun is passing, may you quickly go to the mountain and like the young gazelle, take our Daddy’s hand and run about there with Him, for once the sun sets, you won’t be able to run about.
A prophecy comes next. Isaiah 2:2, [Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of Jehovah’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it.]
When will the mountain of Jehovah’s house be established on top of the mountains and be exalted above the hills? In the latter days? It is talking about the last days. The last days are more acutely nearer than we think. [Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of Jehovah’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains.] It means that the rumors of it will spread, more so than of Mt. Everest or the Himalayas. […and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it.] All people of the world will gather there. Has this been fulfilled?
In Micah 4:1-2, the prophecy is repeated. [Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of Jehovah’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and peoples shall flow to it. Many nations shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion the law shall go forth, and the word of Jehovah from Jerusalem.]
If you see here, “in the latter days” is mentioned again. […that the mountain of Jehovah’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills]. It will be renown and more famous than all other mountains. And [peoples shall flow to it.] They will all gather to this small hill. Many nations, many gentiles shall come; those who do not know God and do not even call upon His name shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah, to the house of the God of Jacob, the true God. He will teach us the truthful way of love. And we shall walk in His paths, for out of the Zion of the East, the law of love shall come forth, and the word of Jehovah from Jerusalem of the East.”
Have these words been fulfilled today? If you look in the Bible, Jerusalem is mentioned, and it is in Jerusalem that the last water of life will flow out. Salvation will be found in the last days from Jerusalem. That is why today in the land of Judea, they say, “Let’s build Jerusalem again.” But they can build a hundred Jerusalems there and yet God will not go there. The temple of Jerusalem that is mentioned in the Bible is the place where the living God comes in actuality.
So if you look in Haggai 2:3, it reads, [“Who is left among you who saw this temple in its former glory? And how do you see it now? In comparison with it, is this not in your eyes as nothing?] Yes, verse 7, […and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,” says Jehovah of hosts.] Verse 9, [“The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,” says Jehovah of hosts, “and in this place I shall give peace,” declares Jehovah of hosts.]
So in the very place, the very temple where the living God abides in actuality, that small hill becomes exalted above all others, and never mind believers, even gentiles will flow to it, wanting to receive the love of the God of Jacob. But it says here, “Who is left among you…?” Who is this referring to? Yes, this is referring to all of you. “Who is left among you,” among those who are to ascend to heaven, “who saw this temple in its former glory?” Who has seen the glory of the Golden Jerusalem? “And how do you see it now?” And how does the last Jerusalem temple today seem to you? “Is this not in your eyes as nothing?” Compared to that grand and dazzling Jerusalem temple built by Solomon, look at this temple covered with iron roofing today. “Is this not in your eyes as nothing?” Isn’t that true? However, in verse 9, it is written, [“The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,” says Jehovah of hosts]. Though this temple is not much to look at, as well as this mountain, the latter glory of this temple will be greater than the former Golden Jerusalem.
How will it be greater? It is mentioned in verse 6: [For thus says Jehovah of hosts: “Once more in a little while, I am going to shake the heavens and the earth, the sea also and the dry land. And I will shake all the nations; and they will come with the wealth of all nations; and I will fill this house with glory,” says Jehovah of hosts.]
So, “Though in your eyes this temple is shabby and nothing worth looking at compared to the Golden Jerusalem of the past, just wait and see. Soon I will shake the heavens and the earth, the sea also and the dry land. The whole world will be shaken. And not only that, all the universal nations will be shaken as well. And the Desire of All Nations, that Treasure all the nations of the world long for, will abide in this temple. And I will fill this temple with glory.” Do you believe that this astonishing temple is the very temple that will fill the entire universe and shake the whole universe?
You will learn more about this shortly. So in the latter days, all those in the world whether they believe or not will come to this temple, to this hill, and they will receive the law of love from the God of Jacob, the true God, and following that path in obedience, they will be saved. As I told you before that even the gambling for Jesus’ garment was prophesied of in the Bible, so then how could this temple that will save the whole world and shake the universe not be prophesied of? And who can dare to tear this temple down? Who dares to? If this temple is torn down, it is because heaven’s time of lowering the curtain is filled. Until then, not even the American president will be able to tear it down. No matter what commotion they make here, they won’t ever be able to tear it down. During every seminar, they deploy people from all the government departments and religious orders, and I have said this during every seminar. It’s not going to happen. This temple can never be torn down without heaven’s consent. If this temple were to be torn down, then there would no longer be a reason for this earth to exist. This earth has existed until now for the sake of this temple. Just like it says in the National Anthem of Korea, “Hurrah for our country because God is watching over it,” despite Korea being invaded almost a thousand times, it has not fallen into ruins yet, standing firm to the end, because it was verily for the sake of this temple that God held onto this country.
If you look in Micah 4:8, it’s written, [And you, O tower of the flock, the stronghold of the daughter of Zion, to you shall it come, even the former dominion shall come, the kingdom of the daughter of Jerusalem.] Where will the former dominion of the Golden Jerusalem come to? It will come to Mount Zion of the East.
Verse 7 reads, [So Jehovah will reign over them in Mount Zion of the East from now on, even forever.] It is from here that Doalnara, the eternal Stone Country begins.
Matthew 8:1-3 reads, [When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.] It’s written here that “He had come down from the mountain.” In every age, the Son God sent came down from where? Moses came down from Mt. Sinai. Jesus also came down from the mountain. “When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him. And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, ‘Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.’ Then Jesus who had come down from the mountain put out His hand and touched him, saying, ‘I am willing; be cleansed.’ Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.” It means that in the last days when the Son whom God had prepared in the mountains comes, He will cleanly wash away the leprosy of sin. It is by following God’s Son who comes down from the mountain that your leprosy of sin is cleanly healed and cleansed. There is no one who was ever cleansed of the leprosy of sin by following God’s son who came out from a theology school in the city.
That’s why it says here, “Behold a leper came and worshiped Jesus who came down from the mountain.” Those who worship the Son of God who comes down from the mountain, only those that follow Him will receive heaven’s favor. Those who cannot recognize God’s Son who came down from the mountain and defy Him with their heads raised up like a snake will never receive any blessings. You probably have seen people who have left like that. There is a time to act proud, but you shouldn’t act proud randomly without thought, it could be terribly destructive. You also shouldn’t act humbly just anywhere. God’s sons and daughters should carry themselves nobly and honorably. We shouldn’t just go anywhere and bow and act humbly, bringing shame to our Father. That would be disastrous. You must never bow and stoop before sin.
Matthew chapter 5 verses 1 and 2, [And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated, His disciples came to Him. Then He opened His mouth and taught them]. “And seeing the multitudes, Jesus went up on a mountain.” The Son of God who came from the mountain once again led the multitudes to the mountain. That proves He was undoubtedly the Messenger sent from God. So, “Jesus who came from the mountain went up on a mountain, and when He was seated, His disciples came to Him. Then He opened His mouth and taught them the beatitudes.” Do you also desire to receive the beatitudes? Then may you quickly go to the mountain. You must follow the Son of God who came from the mountain in order to receive the beatitudes.
If you look in Matthew chapter 5 verse 14, [You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.] Would you like to receive the new light that is given in every age? Then may you go to the mountain. When the sun rises, where does it shine first? It shines on the mountain first. Likewise, the light of heaven shines first upon God’s children, His holy people who live in the mountains. And later it shines upon His people in the cities. In other words, salvation comes later to those in the cities.
Matthew chapter 17 verses 1 and 2, [Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.] Would you also like to have the face of your character shine like the sun, to have your clothes of character become as white as snow like Jesus? Then may you also go up high into the mountains and meet God there. Are there any people whose faces of character shine from going to the theology schools? Is there anyone whose faces shine from being in the cities? Is there anyone whose faces shine from going to some religious retreat? No, it never happens. Don’t ever go to such places. Later when we learn about Stone Country (Doalnara), you will understand why. God can never use people who come out from such places. We must go high up into the mountains, and just as the face of Moses shone after meeting God there, and the face of Jesus shone after meeting God there, our faces will also shine when we meet God in the mountains. Our Father likes the holy mountains. It is because he dislikes the sinful cities that He goes to the holy mountain and meets His holy people, and makes us holy there.
Mark chapter 3 verse 13, [And He went up on the mountain and called to Him those He Himself wanted. And they came to Him.] It’s not just anyone who is called by God and goes to the mountains. Only those whom God wants will be able to go there.
Matthew chapter 18 verse 12, [What do you think? If any man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go and search for the one that is straying?] (NASB) How strange this is here. What do you think? Let’s see what you think. A certain shepherd had one hundred sheep and one of them went astray. Then where does he leave the other ninety-nine to go seeking the lost sheep? He leaves them on the mountains as he goes seeking the lost sheep. Shouldn’t he put them in a fenced area or in the green pastures? If he leaves them in the mountains, the wolves or tigers could come out to devour them. Isn’t there something wrong with this? “What do you think? Think about it. If any man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine, not in a fenced area or the pastures, but in the mountains and go and search for the one that is straying?” What does this mean? Who are the sheep here? Yes, they are people. In other words, all those who have left the mountains are the sheep that have lost their way. Only those who go to the mountain and live with God there are the sheep that have not lost their way. All of you! I hope you will become the sheep that do not lose their way. That is why Jesus always went to the mountain and met God there, praying until night came.
John chapter 6 verse 15 says, [Therefore when Jesus perceived that they were about to come and take Him by force to make Him king, He departed again to the mountain by Himself alone.] Whether sages living in the mountains in China or the Sage living in the mountains of Judea, what is the characteristic of these sages if they are asked to be king? They all run away. They wash out their ears and run away. All of you must also go to the mountains in order to become sages. These days, look at those people living in the cities. They tear each other apart and fight to gain higher positions, so would they ever run away from such a promotion? We must become holy sages. There is a particular characteristic about sages, they have absolutely nothing to do with the world.
Now I will interpret Daniel chapter 2 for you before ending. Because there is not enough time, I will explain to you the central point of Daniel chapter 2 and just pass, one verse for each chapter must suffice to get the main point across.
Let’s read Daniel chapter 2 verse 44, [And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.] “And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed.” Whether Rome, Greece, or Medo-Persia, all these nations of the world all fell into ruins one after the other. “But in the days of these kings, in these last days, the God of heaven will come and establish a kingdom, and what will happen to that kingdom? It shall never be destroyed. And the kingdom shall not be left to other people, it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.”
There is no one who knows how to interpret this properly. Even pastors of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, who are supposed to be the most knowledgeable of the Bible in this world, interpret this verse like this, “Oh, this kingdom will be established when Jesus comes.” You know, a country is not made up of the land itself. Do you understand? What makes a country is its people, the citizens. There was a time when Korea was completely taken by Japan, the entire country usurped. At the time, our government officials set up a temporary government in Shanghai, China. That was our country, Korea, at the time. Do you understand? Who did this country belong to? It belonged to Japan. And our country’s temporary government was established in Shanghai, and that was the Republic of Korea at the time. Do you understand? A country is not its land but its people, the citizens. People are what make a country.
In order to establish the citizens of that country, the kingdom that will never be destroyed, who and what kind of people will become the owners and citizens of that immortal kingdom? Who? Who will be qualified to become the citizens and owners of that kingdom who will never die and live forever? What kind of people? People with what kind of character? “The meek shall inherit the earth!” Those who have God’s character and bear the image of Jesus will become the owners of that kingdom. Then when Jesus makes His Second Advent, do you think He will say, “Hey! You must quickly transform your characters,” and will your characters be transformed then? He will not establish any kingdom then. He will only take those who are of the kingdom that has already been established. And when does that happen? It’s happening now. In the days of these kings, people from America, Russia, Japan, Germany, Korea, France, in the days of these kings when there are over two hundred nations, the God of heaven has quietly come down in order to establish a kingdom and its people. In order to bestow this immortal kingdom as an inheritance, God will quietly raise up a people that bear His image from this country and that country.
Once I went to a certain lake and saw that the baby carps were not freed to roam about that vast lake, rather they were raised in a small netted area until they grew to a certain extent. Later, these carps that grew within that net took over the whole lake, to become the owners of it. You are right now within the net. But people don’t know that. Does it happen at Jesus’ Second Advent? To think that this kingdom will be established at Jesus’ Second Coming is ridiculous. They should just sit still if they don’t know what they’re talking about. Then they would at least receive some mercy.
Then in what method will God raise up the citizens of this immortal kingdom and establish this kingdom? Daniel chapter 2 verse 25, [Inasmuch as you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God has made known to the king what will come to pass after this.]
So in the days of these kings, when countries like America, Russia, Japan, Germany Korea, when these nations are fighting one another and tearing each other apart, the God of heaven quietly comes down and establishes a kingdom. And how does He raise up an immortal people? A stone cut out from the mountain without human hands comes flying out, whizzing by, and no one knows who threw that flying stone untouched by human hands, but this stone that comes flying out from the mountain breaks into pieces the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold, and it establishes that kingdom. What does this mean? “Without human hands” means it is not upheld by any human, but it’s a stone that God prepared in the mountain and throws Himself. Who is this stone? This stone represents a person. It is not upheld by any human and not prepared by any man; this stone of the Word that God prepared in the mountains will break into pieces all nations. Do you understand?
This “flying stone” refers to the Word that God prepared in the mountains that will be exalted before the whole world. Whoever receives that stone will be able to crush all the idols in their hearts. And this stone of the Word, this stone of Truth that God Himself prepared in the mountains, will break in pieces what first? It will break the iron. This refers to the authority and power of organizations stronger than iron. Because the Word struck and broke in pieces those religious organizations, you were able to come pouring out to receive eternal life like this. Those organizations are as firm and strong as iron, their gates locked so tightly that not a single person can escape from there. But what is the first thing that is broken to pieces here? The organizations are crushed to pieces here, and when they fall apart, you were able to come pouring out.
What is struck next? The “bronze, clay, silver, and gold.” In other words, all the idols of avarice, greed, and selfishness that grasp onto land and property are crushed and destroyed. And that’s why you become an immortal people with holy and meek characters without any greed or selfishness. Has that happened? I can’t believe I am telling you all this for free. Oh, it’s unbelievable, wow….
Daniel 2:35 is the same. It is repeated again. [Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold were crushed together, and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors; the wind carried them away.] So then, the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold were crushed together and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors.
What does this mean? Matthew chapter 3 verse 11-12, [As for me, I baptize you with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. And His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear His threshing floor; and He will gather His wheat into the barn, but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.]
Here is a prophecy by the second Elijah, John the Baptist. “I baptize you with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove his sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. And His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear His threshing floor; and he will gather His wheat into the barn, but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” People think this refers to Jesus who comes after John the Baptist. But John was not referring to Jesus when he said this.
Without a doubt, John the Baptist mentions here that though he baptizes with water, He who is coming after him will baptize with what? “…with the Holy Spirit and fire, and I am not fit to remove his sandals.” Now did Jesus baptize with water or not? Jesus baptized with water and He Himself was baptized with water. But this verse is a prophecy of the last days of the earth’s threshing floor. Jesus never baptized with fire. He only baptized with water as John the Baptist had, and He Himself was baptized with water as well. Is threshing done in the spring or in the fall? This was a prophecy that in the last days of this earth’s harvest, One would come who would baptize with fire. And this second Elijah, John the Baptist was saying he was not worthy to even remove the sandals of the One who comes to the final threshing floor.
“His winnowing fork is in His hand” and He will shake the whole world. He will thresh and shake it thoroughly. He will clear the threshing floor of this earth and gather His wheat and take them to heaven. He will take the chaff and throw them into the unquenchable fire. Is it speaking of now or 2,000 years ago? He’s speaking of the last days. But at that time, there will be a stone, cut out from the mountain without hands. That stone of truth not touched by any human, who did not learn from any human scholar, who was not upheld by any human, was thrown high into the air by God, and the first thing it struck was the iron-enforced organizations. Next it strikes the bronze, the clay, the silver and the gold, all the idols of greed and selfishness that have a firm grasp on lands, property, and money. They are all struck and scattered like chaff on a summer threshing floor. Afterwards, only the holy and meek without any greed or selfishness remain, and these are the very ones who become the owners of the immortal kingdom. And when was that kingdom established? Now. Don’t go and tell anyone about this. This is a secret for just us to share. Right now, you are not listening to a sermon, but you are watching a vision unfold. This is not a mere sermon.
So if you look in Revelation chapter 14 verse 1, [And I looked, and behold, the Lamb was standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His name and the name of His Father written on their foreheads.] (NASB)
Those people in the world say they will be part of the 144,000, don’t they? But what is on the foreheads of the 144,000? They have received the Real Father. To say something was written on their foreheads does not mean letters but that they have our Real Father in their hearts. Who in this world has the Real Father in their hearts? That’s why you cannot help but become the 144,000. Don’t you feel refreshed? Aren’t you happy? Truly it’s a good thing you came here.
“And I looked, and behold, the Lamb was standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His name and the name of His Father written on their foreheads. They had the Father in their hearts.” Even though I explain this so clearly, if something is not to their liking, there are people who say, “Oh, I better just wait and see.” Just wait and see, go ahead. See who will lose this kingdom. Those who always just “wait and see” will later run barefoot pleading, “I want to be a citizen of that kingdom,” after all the citizens are chosen and the number filled. And it will be too late for them, it will all be over by then.
There is a book written by those who were not able to walk with God in the mountain, and they translated the title as, “In the Mountain with God.” But all messages must be written and translated by those who personally abide with God. Whether living in the countryside, whether it is this message or that message, they are all the same. But since those who have never gone to the mountain or even met God there did the translation, they wrote, “In the Mountain with God.” So what about it? You are the ones who should be translating such books. And so I changed the title like this, “Happiness of Living with God in the Mountains.”
So it’s written here, “‘Come up to Me into the mount,’ God bids us. To Moses, before he could be God’s instrument in delivering Israel, was appointed the forty years of communion with Him in the mountain solitudes. Before bearing God’s message to Pharaoh, he spoke with the angel in the burning bush. Before receiving God’s law as the representative of His people, he was called into the mount, and beheld His glory.” It means that all of God’s warriors first went to the mountain in order to meet God there.
But what I want to say is, just because I said to go to the mountains doesn’t mean young girls should go deep into the mountains all by themselves. The mountain here refers to the countryside. It means to leave the corrupt cities and live in the countryside. May you walk with God within the beautiful countryside abiding together with nature. There is no reason to needlessly put yourselves in harm’s way, then say, “I have been tested by God.” God is not like that. You heard of Jacob’s daughter Dina. She went to where the gentile men were drinking and dancing, and because she exposed herself there, she ended up being raped. It’s mentioned in the Bible. You may think, “Oh how could God allow the daughter of such a man of faith to be raped?” But it could not be helped. There are road signs everywhere, “There is a cliff here. This road makes an ‘S’ curve.” There are road signs everywhere, so if a bus driver falls down a cliff on purpose ignoring the signs, who can he blame? Our Daddy has put up signs everywhere so that we would not fall into trials. That maiden exposed herself before those gentile men who were drinking and dancing and yelling intoxicated, then after she was raped, she was so resentful, saying, “Oh, I was raped.” Such a person must be raped. Because of that one maiden, a countless number of gentiles were killed. One person’s mistake leads to the death of many lives.
When princesses come visiting my house, I don’t let them go deep into the mountains beyond the vicinity of our house. If there is anyone that goes further, I send them away. They cannot stay in our house. In all things, we must live wisely as serpents and purely as doves. There is no reason to needlessly act courageous like Eve, trying to be so brave and purposely going before the forbidden fruit, to end up falling into temptation. These days, people enjoy taking risks, whether men or women, they purposely go before the forbidden fruit and expose themselves, only to be attacked by Satan. At any rate, mistakes are not tolerated with Elijahs. Not even a single mistake can be tolerated. Our Father will not accept such beings. No matter how much they run about and work, God does not even acknowledge them.
That is why when God is about to fulfill the work of this earth, He first calls His workers to the mountains, for the work of redemption of humanity is fulfilled in the mountains. That’s why, “Before receiving God’s law as representative of His people he was called to the mountain and beheld His glory. Before executing justice on the idolaters, he was hidden in the cleft of the rock, and the Lord said, ‘I will proclaim the name of Jehovah before you,‘merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth … by no means clearing the guilty.(Exo 33:19, 34:6-7)”
“Before he laid down, with his life, his burden for Israel, God called him to the top of Pisgah and spread out before him the glory of the Promised Land. Before the disciples went forth on their mission, they were called up into the mount with Jesus. Before the power and glory of Pentecost, came the night of communion with the Savior, the meeting on the mountain in Galilee, the parting scene upon Olivet, with the angel’s promise, and the days of prayer and communion in the upper chamber. Jesus, when preparing for some great trial or some important work, would resort to the solitude of the mountains and spend the night in prayer to His Father. A night of prayer preceded the ordination of the apostles and the Sermon on the Mount, the transfiguration, the agony of the judgment hall and the cross, and the resurrection glory.” In order to attain all the strength needed to overcome the world, to become a warrior who can overcome the world, in order to become God’s sons and daughters, you must first quickly now go to the countryside.
There is a famous book of prophecy in Korea, isn’t there? It’s called “The Jung-gam-rok Book of Prophecies.” One of the prophecies in this book says that in the last days, there will be so many people in this land of Chosun that you will trip over them wherever you go. Is that a fact? It’s a fact. Seoul is swarming with people. There’s nothing rare about humans. Because there are so many, you can’t tell whether they are humans or maggots squirming about. There are so many people bumping into each other as they pass by that a country bumpkin like me would probably end up spending the whole day making way for them. But those people are so good at slipping away here and there like slippery eels though they don’t even have scales. I could end up standing there all day just watching people pass by here and there.
But then that same prophetic book that said in the last days, the land of Chosun would have so many people you would trip over them, next says that people will be so rare you won’t be able to meet a single person for miles around. And who are the people you will meet after going for miles? It will be the people of the immortal kingdom. And these people will have a particular characteristic – who will become the people that you meet after going for miles? I don’t know if this prophecy is true or not because I haven’t read it personally myself, but at any rate, it is an interesting prophecy. It’s written there that the people you meet after going for miles “will have tanned and rough hands, and a bump on their backs.” Only such people are the ones you will meet so rarely after going for miles.
Who has tanned and rough hands? These are people who farm in the countryside. They have a bump on their backs because they carry the A-frame carrier all the time. Someone come up and try touching my back, I also have a bump this big. So it’s without a doubt that I am a citizen of that Stone Country. I am definitely a person mentioned in Daniel 2:44. I hope that you also will become like that. From now on, I must stand by the registration booth and check everyone’s backs to see if they have a bump on their backs or not. If they don’t have any bumps, I will turn them away, telling them, “Please carry the A-frame more and return afterwards.” I will check your hands, and those with smooth hands will be turned away. They will have to go and rub some sand on their hands and roughen them up before coming back. Next time, before coming to the Seminar, please go to the fields and rub your hands into the dirt, because only then will you qualify to enter here. I hope that you will all become sages who live together with God in the mountains like this.
