his hour, I would like to introduce
another book of God that the religions of the world do not possess. When we go
heaven, we will not be reading the Bible written by this degenerated clan of
human pygmies but the Bible written by God Himself. It is known as the first
Bible – the Bible that our Daddy gave to us in the very beginning. And when we say
“Bible,” we think that only Christians can read it. But in reality, our Real
Daddy gave this first Bible to all the youngest children of this earth. I’d
like to introduce this book to you. Isn’t that a bit better? People get upset
when they hear about the Bible since it seems it is only for those who believe
in Jesus and has nothing to do with other religions, but I will introduce to
you a book that God Himself wrote with His finger in the beginning for these
youngest children. The time has come to discard all the Bibles written by these
pygmy human sinner prophets. Though religious denominations of the world fight
over this Bible verse and that Bible verse, now is not the time for us to be
doing that. The time has come to throw them all away. When we go to heaven,
will we be taking the Bible and other song books with us in our brief cases? Did
Jesus take any scrolls with Him when He went up to heaven? When we go to
heaven, the only ones qualified to go will be the ones who can read this first
Bible fluently.
Let’s see which
book He gave us in the beginning. Romans 1:20, [For since the creation of the
world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things
that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without
excuse]. Since the beginning of creation, has anyone seen God, the unseen
Divinity? But it says here, “For since the creation of the world His invisible
attributes are clearly seen,” so you can see Him and know Him. So the creation of
the world, nature, is the very first Bible that has been given to us; it’s the
first book and was written by God Himself.
Psalms 19:1-4. [The
heavens declare the glory of God.] Yes, the heavens declare the glory of God. [And
the firmament shows His handiwork.] Yes, the firmament shows His handiwork. [Day
unto day utters speech and night unto night reveals knowledge. There is no
speech nor language where their voice is not heard … it goes to the ends of the
earth, to the ends of the world.]
“That heaven
above declares God’s love, the stars declare the works of the Creator, and day
unto day, night unto night they reveal the knowledge of God. Though they have no
human speech nor language where their voice is heard, that sound can be heard
to the ends of the earth.” The sun, stars, and all of creation in heaven and
earth were given to us as the first Bible written by God Himself. That’s why
Adam never read this Bible which all of you are carrying around. Enoch and
Abraham never even heard about it. But they walked with God more closely than
we, a life apart from sin. The reason why? They were able to fluently read this
very Bible that God personally wrote, leading them to live a life without sin.
However, as
humans grew more corrupt, they lost their spiritual vision. They became blinded
and unable to read the words of God written in nature; they became blind and
deaf to what nature was saying. God felt sorry for man and from then on, He
gave them the written Word, so that they could read and understand once more.
But since they couldn’t even understand that, it had to be interpreted for
them. How ignorant we are! That’s why just before ascension to heaven, as
written in Ezekiel chapter 34, “I, Jehovah, will personally teach them and take
them to heaven.” Isn’t He truly our wonderful Real Daddy? No matter how
degenerate and foolish we may become, once our Father has set His mind to take us
to heaven, no one can stop Him.
So people think
that the Bible is perfect, but far from it. We must transcend this Bible
written imperfectly by human pygmies and be able to read the first Bible given
to us in the beginning; only then can we ascend to heaven. This Bible that you
and all denominations are holding is an imperfect book. Why is it imperfect?
It’s written
here. “The Lord speaks to human beings in imperfect speech, in order that the (corrupt
humans’) degenerate senses, the dull, earthly perception, of earthly beings may
comprehend His words. Thus is shown God’s condescension.” When people go to
those cannibals to spread the Gospel, they do not do so by speaking fluent
English or Korean. They must speak in the language of cannibals the strange and
at times shrill noise that is their language; it must be learned in order to
communicate with them. Likewise, because these children became blind and deaf
and could not read or hear His words written in creation, He gave to us in our own
imperfect language the Bible in Korean for Koreans, in English for Americans.
“Thus is shown
God’s condescension. He meets fallen (corrupt) human beings where they are (in
their corruption). The Bible, perfect as it is in its simplicity, does not
answer to the great ideas of God; for infinite ideas cannot be perfectly
embodied in finite vehicles of thought.”
Though people
call the Bible perfect, yet finite vehicles of thought, finite language cannot
perfectly embody the infinite ideas, the love of God. His infinite thoughts
should be poured upon this Bible, but in fact not even a thousandth, not even a
millionth is recorded. That’s why it is imperfect.
“Instead of the
expressions of the Bible being exaggerated, as many people suppose, the strong
expressions break down before the magnificence of the thought (of God), though
the penman (human prophets) selected the most expressive language through which
to convey the truths of higher education.”
People say that
the Bible is exaggerated, but actually it isn’t at all. Rather, it is too
concise and abridged to the point that it cannot express fully all that it
should. No matter how the prophets tried to use the most expressive language,
the best language, it was far from sufficient in conveying what it should.
“Sinful beings
(prophets) can only bear to look upon a shadow of the brightness of heaven’s
glory.”
Sinful prophets should
have recorded in the Bible the glory of the heavenly God, but they were unable
to record that light of glory, not even the shadow of it. They could only
record merely a tip of the shadow of that glory, and that is what the Bible is.
Do you understand? You may not understand clearly so I will explain to you a
little more simply.
The emperor of
Rome wanted to get rid of Jesus’ religion and all His followers. So he killed
all of Jesus’ disciples and all those who believed in Him. He killed them all
except for one. Apostle John. Apostle John was Jesus’ favorite disciple and had
been very close to Him, so the emperor decided that he wanted to kill John in a
fun way and decided to fry him in oil and make him into a French fry. If you look
at the Roman emperors all through history, they were demons.
The boiling
point of oil is much higher than the boiling point of water and they threw this
living man, Apostle John, in there. They thought that he would become a French
fry and die all bloated. But when he went in, nothing happened. He didn’t bloat
or fry, he was standing there as if a rice farmer standing in his field and he only
said, “Your Majesty! Isn’t this joke a bit extreme?” And this emperor became so
shocked. This was not a human, this was not a god. That oil was bubbling and
boiling in such heat, and he thought Apostle John would fry up and die in
agony, but there he was standing in that burning cauldron of oil, calm and
serene as a farmer standing in his fields, just staring up at him.
This was God slapping
that demonic emperor. “You fool! Do you think you killed all of My children
with your own strength?” That emperor was so afraid that he turned pale with
fear. Even though he knew John was a human, when nothing happened to him in
that boiling cauldron of oil, he shook with fear and could not even think of
killing him. But he couldn’t bear looking at him, so he said, “Take that … that
human to the deserted Patmos Island.” And so John was exiled to that empty
island without a single tree or blade of grass in the middle of the ocean. He
had received a blow from God and he saw that God was with John, so how could he
dare kill him?
John was sent to
Patmos and he thought that he would be bored to death there, but every day of
the Lord’s Sabbath, Jesus and the angels came to be his companions. All of you will
also see the great revelations John did on the Sabbath. So to that lonely
beloved disciple, Jesus appeared and said, “Do you want to see the home that
our Daddy gave us where you and I will live for eternity?” It comes out in the
Book of Revelation, doesn’t it? “Behold I
saw the New Jerusalem coming down from heaven and it was so beautiful.” John
was speechless. Even today across the sea, there were even more of his brethren
being killed by that demonic emperor, accusing them of being heretics and
fanatics. He wanted to write a letter to them and encourage them, tell them
that the Lord had showed him a home where they would all live with Him forever.
He wanted to strengthen and encourage all those being martyred for the Lord and
his heart was filled with love for them.
Excited to relay
to them his vision, he began to write, “I saw the New Jerusalem and it was like…”
and he wanted to say it looked like something so beautiful, something as close
to the vision that he saw. But he had nothing to compare it with. What could he
say to encourage and strengthen his brethren? He couldn’t think of anything. “Beautiful
as a flower?” No, nothing compared to this New Jerusalem. “Beautiful as the
sun, stars, the moon?” No matter how much John looked around him, he couldn’t
find anything to compare with the New Jerusalem. He wanted to quickly write
this down and send it, so that it would encourage and strengthen his brethren
of faith who were being murdered, but he couldn’t think of anything. So, for
many days he walked around saying, “I saw the New Jerusalem and it was like …
it was like…,” and he only continued pacing back and forth for the words that
would do his vision justice.
Finally, he made
a decision. God’s children are the most beautiful of all living things. And among
them, the women are more beautiful. Then among women, when is she the most
beautiful in her life? When she is getting ready to be married as a bride. That’s
why John wrote, “New Jerusalem coming down from heaven was like a bride
prepared for her bridegroom.” Is a bride as pretty as the New Jerusalem? On my
wedding day, I looked at my bride and she wasn’t that beautiful at all. But
John had nothing else to compare it with. So is the Bible imperfect or not? It
is a very frustrating book because what was seen or heard could not be adequately
expressed in words at all.
The Bible which
is written by pygmies is so frustrating that if you called all those scholars
of language and told them to write down what the songs of birds sounded like, they
could hear it but they wouldn’t be able to write it down. How about water? You
can hear water flowing but can you write it down? How about the clock? We cannot
even accurately write down the sound of a clock made by pygmy humans. This is
the language of humans.
How do Koreans
express the sound of a clock? What do you usually say? “Tok-tak, tok-tak.” Please
don’t lie. I never heard a clock that sounds like that. Then how about the people
from the United Kingdom – England? When you ask those tall people, “Since you
are such civilized gentlemen, please tell me what does the clock sound like,” do
you know what they say? “Oh, it sounds like ‘tickle-tackle, tickle-tackle.” Is
that what a clock really sounds like? That’s a lie too. Then how about Germans?
They are advanced in Science. Let’s ask them. Then they’ll say, “It sounds like
‘Peter pan, peter pan.’” When does a clock sound like that?
You could gather
all the people in the world together and they wouldn’t be able to agree on what
a clock sounded like. We have become deaf fools that cannot even express what
we hear in our own language. So these humans that cannot even properly record
the sound of a lifeless clock, could they ever express the infinite ideas and
that glorious splendor of heaven? That is why we will discard these Bibles
before going to heaven; we won’t need them there.
Can you believe
it? God begot us. But humans wrote that He created us with dirt. Everything was
written wrong, what’s little was expressed as numerous, what was evil was
written as good, and on top of that, Satan ruined the Bible even more with his
tricks and deceptions. Right now, Satan has altered the Bible to his pleasing,
adding in things, taking things out; there is absolutely no way for you to
understand it unless the Author comes and explains it to you. That is why God
said that at the time of Jesus’ Second Advent, you will discard all these
Bibles and ascend to heaven.
But you may
protest, “How can we discard the Bible?” However, only those that can read the
first Bible will be able to discard it and ascend to heaven. Why? There aren’t
any Bibles in heaven. Even with the Bible, humans always sin, so without it,
how much more will they sin in heaven? Only those who can fluently read the
first Bible and abide with God will be able to go to heaven. Those Christians
today with the Bible in their hands say they will surely go to heaven. But in
the Word of God, it is written that all Christians will be destroyed and rather,
those who have not read the Bible will ascend to heaven.
It’s written
like this, “Those whom Christ commends in the judgment” – at Jesus’ Second
Advent, those whom Jesus will praise “may have known little of theology … even
among the heathen” – among those who have never even seen or heard of a
theology school “are those who worship God ignorantly, those to whom the light (truth)
is never brought by human instrumentality” – they have never once heard a
sermon or read a single verse of the Bible, but they will ascend to heaven. “…yet
they will not perish. Though ignorant of the written law of God (the Bible),
they have heard His voice speaking to them in nature, and have done the things (in
their lives) that the law (the Bible) required. Their works (lives) are
evidence that the Holy Spirit has touched their hearts, and they are recognized
as the children of God.”
So who will go
to heaven at Jesus’ Second Advent? It’s written that those who never went to a
theology school, who never read a single verse of the Bible, who never listened
to a single sermon, will ascend to heaven. On the other hand, those who preached
about Jesus and called on His name and carried around the Bible will not be
taken. Rather the unexpected people will go to heaven. Who will be able to go? Those
who can read the first Bible recorded by God within nature throughout heaven
and earth and in the deep mountains, who converse with God and accept Him in
their conscience and abide with Him, who bear His image … such are the people
who will ascend to heaven.
So what did
Apostle Paul say? He wrote in the Bible that the gentiles who do not have the
law, who cannot read the Bible, will meet God who gives the law through nature,
to bear His image. Such people, though they do not have the law, have the law
of their conscience, and so they will ascend to heaven.
If you look in Isaiah
chapter 49, it says that there will be people from Sinim to ascend to heaven.
Where is the land of Sinim? It’s not Thailand but China. Our brethren from
China came out this time, didn’t they? They say that China is Sinim, then who
from Sinim will ascend to heaven? Will they be people who read the Bible? No,
it means that those who have not read the Bible from Sinim will ascend to
heaven. Who are they? People like Confucius, Mencius, Lao-tzu, Chuang-tzu –
these sages will ascend to heaven. Also those disciples of Confucius who lived
a life like him will ascend to heaven as well. Do you understand?
You may think, “Are
you serious? They didn’t even believe in Jesus.” But I would like to inform all
of you that God is not God of only Jesus-believers. He is God of Confucius, He
begot Sakyamuni, He is God of Mohammed, He is the Real Father of us all.
There was a gray-haired
elder and he went to a Confucian to evangelize, to urge him to believe in Jesus.
So this Confucian scholar was sitting very calmly, and since they were both
old, this elder figured they would communicate well. He said, “I’ve lived my
life, so have you, so let’s believe in Jesus and go to heaven together.” Those
Confucians are much nobler than Christians. It’s the Christians who are the
most vile and corrupt.
So this
Confucian scholar looked at this elderly Christian, and he could see that this
elder was quite below him, a secular Christian just chattering by himself. So
he only shook his head and remained silent. No matter how the elder advised and
tried to urge him, he would only shake his head and make no reply. Finally,
this elder got angry and giving up, decided to strike a nerve before leaving. “That
Confucius also was a sinner!” That’s when this Confucian scholar began to
tremble with rage, “How dare you say Confucius was a sinner! Jesus is your
Jesus, is He my Jesus? Get out of here right now!” And so never mind
evangelizing, that elder was chased away only having fought with the Confucian.
Then was Confucius
a sinner? You may say, “Oh, that’s because only those who believe in the name
of Jesus can be saved; since Confucius didn’t know Jesus, he was a sinner.” The
Christians today assert that since in the Book of Acts, it’s written, “Only
those who believe and call the name of Jesus can be saved,” you can only go to
heaven by believing in Jesus. They only know one thing. They can’t see beyond what
they think they know. Those Christians in the world think that God is a
self-righteous Being like them, but they are so wrong. Where do most of God’s children
live in this world? It’s China; it’s not America or Russia.
The Chinese
premier and most leaders throughout China’s history did not know the population
count of their own people. If people asked them what the population of China
was, they would reply, “It’s probably about 1.2 billion. Last time it was a
billion so it should be 1.2 billion by now.” It is always only an approximate
number. Korea is quite accurate with its population count and can come up with
an exact number, but the premiers of China always had to give an approximate
answer. China is such a vast country and there are so many people that when
Japan invaded China, the Chinese said, “What are you doing here? What’s going
on?” “Hey, our countries are at war right now.” “Really? When did it start?” They
have no idea what goes on in another part of the country.
Even here in our
small country of Korea, people who live on the mainland can’t understand those
who speak in Jeju Island. It doesn’t sound like Chinese or Japanese, it’s
incomprehensible. China has five hundred dialects and they don’t understand
each other. That’s why when our brethren go to China to evangelize, they need
two or three translators for the various areas. If we want to spread the Gospel
to China, we’ll need ten, maybe up to five hundred translators. When our
Chinese brethren come out to Korea, they have to write in chinese characters to
communicate with our Korean brethren.
China has so
many of God’s real sons and daughters living there. So, will they all have to
die because before the Bible came out, transportation was not advanced and they
had no access to the truth? Will only those Christians be taken to heaven? Of
course not. Before the Bible appeared, in that country where the greatest number
of God’s children lived, the Spirit of Jesus that could save all of humanity
was given to the Chinese. That’s why Confucius, Mencius, Lao-tzu, Chuang-tzu –
all these people taught the Bible. Do you think only the name of Jesus is
Jesus? God’s Word of truth that comes out from the mouth of Jesus is Jesus. Let’s
see if what Confucius taught and what Jesus taught were both the Bible or not.
I live in Songni
Mountain, and at the entrance to Songni Mountain, there’s an elderly Confucian
scholar quite past his seventies. He was a person who came from a different
area, not originally a native to the Songni Mountains, but his ancestors had
all studied Korean prophecies and it was written there that the Savior of the
world would appear from Songni Mountain. There are many of you who read those prophecies
as well, aren’t there? So in Songni Mountain, in a place called Woo-bok Dong,
the Savior of the world would appear.
And so this
elderly man’s ancestors sold everything and moved to the entrance of Songni
Mountain in order to wait for the Savior until they died, and they told their
children and their grandchildren, etc., they said, “Even though I die unable to
meet the Savior, that Savior will surely appear in your time, so you must wait
here, don’t move away from here. Even though you die here, don’t go anywhere
else and wait here no matter what. This is my last will and testament.” And so
this elderly man was waiting at the entrance of Songni Mountain remembering
what his ancestors had told him.
Because I heard
he was waiting, I went to visit him. I wore a pair of jeans and together with
General Manager Jang, we went rumbling on my motorcycle to his house. When we
arrived, he was truly dignified-looking with Korean traditional clothes and a
top-knot (how ancient Korean scholars
wore their hair beneath their hats). I paid my respects and then said, “Sir,
if you have any understanding of truth, please teach me.” He looked at me and
said, “You seem to be a man living a life of faith. I’m just a farmer living in
the countryside.” He was acting quite humble. Confucians usually act humble but
have a mountain-load of arrogance. I was quite aware of that. It seemed that it
would take some time so I decided to start the fight. I said, “Sir, Confucius
taught (順天者存 逆天者亡),
that ‘those who obey God will live and those who disobey God will die.’” Those Confucian
scholars had studied for so long but they didn’t even know the true meaning of
these words. It’s just like those Christians today who go around giving sermons
with the Bible without having a clue to the words written in it. All truths
must be interpreted by the Author.
“Sir, since Confucius
said that those who obey God will live, they will not die, and those who
disobey God will die, since Confucius died, did he not disobey God?” Did Confucius
die or not? He’s dead so he must have disobeyed God. When I said that, he began
to hem and haw, “Ah, no, it’s not that. Confucius will probably be born again
to his descendants later.” He had ruined his god. He should lift up his god,
but he had made his god into someone who would be born by his children. How
ridiculous it is. So though he may have looked noble and knowledgeable, if you
just strike a nerve, then all kinds of nonsense comes out.
Since he seemed
so confounded, I explained to him, “Sir, I think this is what it means.” When you go evangelizing, you should not say they are wrong and
you are right. You should be humble and act as if you are asking them, you’ll
have much better success then. “Sir, to me I think it means this. The truth Confucius
taught was that if you obey God, then even if you die you will live; he taught
the truth of resurrection. And those who disobey God will eternally die. I
believe he taught the concept of resurrection.” This elderly Confucian looked
at me closely. I was merely a young man who came in jeans on a motorcycle, but
my interpretations were quite different. It was the first time he ever met
someone who interpreted like that. If I showed him that much, shouldn’t he just
follow?
Confucius already
taught about resurrection thousands of years ago. His main purpose was to teach
people to obey God. Is this the Bible or not? This is the Bible. Though teachers
of Chinese classics would teach the neighborhood kids Chinese classics, they
never even knew their meanings. They couldn’t even understand eight simple
characters.
I did not study
much Chinese characters, but I can interpret them when I see them. Do you know
why? It’s just common for me. Bring anything to me, I could explain them all to
you. It’s because He who is the source of all wisdom and knowledge, my Real
Daddy, is with me, so there is nothing I do not know. If our Daddy abides in
you, then you, like me, will also know everything in heaven and earth. This is
what it means to be spiritually enlightened. It doesn’t mean cutting your hair,
or fasting and praying. Once you accept the one who is the source of all wisdom
and knowledge, then you can know everything.
What else did Confucius
teach? He taught (人間私語天聽若雷暗室欺心神目如電),
that “Man may whisper words to one another but it sounds like thunder in God’s
ears. Men may deceive their conscience in the dark night but God’s eye sees it like
a flash of lightning. So do not sin even in your thoughts, for God is watching.”
Is this the Bible or not?
Also, (種瓜得瓜種豆得豆天網恢恢疎而不漏), “If you sow
beans, beans will sprout. If you sow cucumbers, cucumbers will sprout. Do not
sow evil but sow good.” Is this the Bible?
(若人作不善得顯名者人雖不害天必戮之) “If people
gain fame and honor through evil ways and become a king or president, no one
can hurt them because they have the power. However, heaven will surely destroy
them. Therefore, obey God’s natural laws.”
(夙興夜寐所思忠孝者人不知天必知之) “Those who
wake up early and sleep late in order to be filial to their parents and be
faithful to God may not be acknowledged by men, but heaven surely sees and will
bless them. So do not live to show others but walk with God.”
(獲罪於天無所禱也) “There’s no one to
hear the prayers of those who sin against God and depart from Him.” It is
saying that it’s the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Do those countless
number of Christians, denominations, and theology students know what the blasphemy
against the Holy Spirit is or not? They have no idea. But Confucius already knew
long ago and warned not to commit the sin of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.
He taught that and the truth of resurrection, everything he taught was the Bible.
(惡若滿天必誅之) “When water fills a
bucket to the brim, it overturns, likewise, when the evils of this earth are
filled up, God will overturn the cataclysm.” So it’s saying to quickly be
prepared and live as righteous beings, to be saved from this earth that will
perish. All these teachings are the same as what Jesus taught. But do you dare
say Confucius was a sinner? People become so narrow-minded when they don’t
abide with God.
Then I will tell
you more clearly who Confucius was. Confucius, Mencius, Lao-tzu, Chuang-tzu –
what do you call these people? Aren’t they called saints? (“Saint” in Chinese characters is (聖子) meaning
“holy son”) People don’t even know what the Bible
means. Christians today don’t know what the word “Bible” means. Though Buddhists
or Confucians think this Bible is the sole property of Jesus-believers, in fact
“Bible” is derived from the Chinese character for “God” (聖).
And
in this character is included the character for “king” (王).
Who
is the King of the universe? How many are there? There is only one God who
created the universe. And in the character for “God” there is also the
character for “ear” (耳) which also has the character for “eye”
(目). So with God’s
eyes meet God and only look at God’s holy things, don’t look at dirty things.
There is also the character for “mouth” (口),
so with God’s mouth, only listen to God’s words and spread God’s words as a
child of God. It means to become a child of God that perfectly resembles God in
eyes, ears, mouth, and all His features. If you have God’s features and
resemble Him exactly, who are you? You are Jesus.
So in China, the
Spirit of Jesus had abided in that man named Confucius. Confucius was the Jesus
of China. He lived a life without the slightest bit of selfishness or greed in
his conscience, having nothing to do with the fame, riches, and glory of the
world; truly he was a man who lived a holy life. If you were God, would you
take people like Confucius and those Chinese sages, or would you take those
Jesus-believers? At that time, Confucius had up to three thousand disciples, and
they would follow him and listen to the words of God that came out from his
mouth. And they all obeyed God. They were a people prepared for heaven.
Among the
disciples of Confucius was a man named An-ja. And like his teacher, he had no
selfishness or greed for the things of this world. He had been extraordinarily intelligent,
but he did not use his abilities to gain worldly honor or wealth, just living a
quiet life like his teacher in order to receive spiritual enlightenment. But he
died at a young age. He didn’t have much food to eat, so he would pick nuts and
make a tiny cake out of them, and even then he would not eat the whole thing
but split it into four portions and eat only one portion per meal. Still he
lived a happy life satisfied in walking this heavenly path. When he died, Confucius
was heartbroken and greatly mourned him, crying out, “An-ja, oh An-ja! Why did
you have to die so soon?” But try comparing those Christians today with the
disciples of Confucius. Those are the people who will ascend to heaven from
Sinim. Do you understand?
Among the
disciples of Confucius, there were two disciples who followed him hundreds of
years later. These men discarded all the riches and glory of the world and
lived deep in the mountains with their families, one on top of a hill and the
other at the bottom of a hill. Hau-yu was the name of one of these men and he
lived at the bottom of the hill. One day, he had taken his cow to the stream to
drink when he saw his friend up the hill also by the stream mumbling something
as he kept washing out his ears. He was acting very strangely out of the
ordinary. There must have been something in his ear because he kept washing it
out.
So Hau-yu asked
his friend, “Hello there!” “What is it?” “Why are you acting so strangely? Is
there something in your ear, why do you keep washing it out?” “Don’t even
mention it, you won’t believe what I have to say. People from the palace came
and asked me to teach the king! How unbelievable! Do they really expect me to
go back out to that secular world and be put on a government salary for
teaching the king? After hearing such a filthy thing, my ears have been
defiled. That’s why I’m washing out my ears.”
Actually, if you
are someone who teaches the king, it’s like being the king yourself. It would
be such a high honor. Those Christian pastors today curse and fight each other
trying to acquire a high position, but that man was washing out his ears for
being invited to such a high honor, saying he heard something filthy. What a
stark comparison it is! I truly respect that man, but Hau-yu whose cow was
drinking from the stream below suddenly yanked his cow away from the stream,
saying, “Ugh! I don’t want my cow to drink the dirty water you
washed your ear with!” This is not made up but a true story. This man, Hau-yu, did that.
washed your ear with!” This is not made up but a true story. This man, Hau-yu, did that.
If you were
Jesus, who would you take to heaven? Would you take such holy people as these or
those Christians in the world today? Those sages who lived like that never ate
filthy pork or dog meat at all. They did not take advantage of others to fill
their own ambitions or make money. Not once did they act in the filthy way
those so-called “servants of the Lord” act, in fact they never even thought
about such a thing. That is why God will take many children from the land of
Sinim. Now do you understand?
They all learned
from nature. They all lived deep in the countryside, deep in the mountains, and
accepted God and walked with God, listening to God in their conscience; they
were little Jesuses who were prepared to go to heaven. I hope that you will
also be like Confucius and all the other saints and sages of China and Korea,
to live in the midst of the first Bible written by the finger of God in the
beginning.

I hope that you
will leave those wicked cities. Don’t waste your time trying to make money
there. When I look at our brethren when they first receive this light, they
seem so noble and beautiful in my eyes. But one day, someone comes to me and it
seems all his nobleness has disappeared; he has become a strange person. He
looks so pitiful and shabby and my heart aches at the sight. Why did this
happen? People who discard their beautiful lives of walking with God, rather following
their ambitions in the world, end up like that. I hope that you will be like
the saints and sages of China and Korea, to quickly go into the mountains and
meet God in nature, to read the first Bible as you live abiding with God.
When I look at
the sun, I can read God’s Word of truth in it. Whether I look at the moon, the
heavens, the rough desert wilderness, the ocean, massive rocks or mountains, or
even gaunt winter trees with only their bones left, or trees that blossom
brightly with the flowers of regeneration and sanctification in the spring, or
the birds or blade of grass, or passing clouds – in them all I can read the
grand truths of heaven. I can hear God’s voice in them. I hope that you will
live like that as well.
I would like to
mention just two from the Nature Bible. When I look at the sky, it tells me of my
heavenly Father’s broad and lofty love. And when I see those birds flying and
dancing to their heart’s content throughout the endless, broad, and lofty sky,
I see the prodigal children on this earth returning into the arms of our Real
Father’s broad and lofty bosom, enjoying infinite happiness and liberty to
their heart’s content.
Yes, when I look
at the sky, I can see our Daddy’s broad and lofty love. And when I see birds
flying and dancing to their heart’s content in the endlessly broad and lofty
sky, I see the earthly prodigal children returning into our Real Daddy’s arms
of love, enjoying infinite liberty and happiness to their heart’s content. In
the world, living a religious life, a life of faith, is oppressive and there
are so many sanctions, and you lose your freedom. But if you return to our Real
Daddy, you are completely liberated and free. This is what true religion is.
When I look at
the ocean, unlike the sky, the ocean tells me of my heavenly Father’s wide and
deep love. And when I see all the fish, big and small, swimming joyfully and
travelling to their heart’s content in the endlessly wide and deep ocean, I can
see the children who have returned to our Real Daddy, who had been caught in
Satan’s snare, now free and enjoying liberty and happiness in His wide and deep
arms of love.
So you can see
the broad and lofty love of our Real Daddy’s bosom through the sky, but the
ocean helped me to see Daddy’s deep and vast love. In that endlessly vast ocean,
the fish that swam dancing in joy reminded me of the children that returned to
our Real Daddy enjoying infinite happiness. Are you enjoying such happiness?
You will enjoy it ever more as time passes.
When I look at
the sun, it makes me see our Real Father’s love that shines upon all indiscriminately,
whether good or bad, and I determine to also love all of humanity like that as
well.
One time, when
we were living in Jeolla Province, I took my whole family to the beach. We borrowed
our neighbor’s bicycle, took our own, and we went. I wanted to be with my children
and be a good father to them, so I played with them for a while. Then I told
them to play by themselves as I was going to the mountains to pray. I went up
to the top of the mountain and I could see the vast ocean spread out before me.
I knelt to pray but Daddy’s love wider than that ocean suddenly overwhelmed me
and I only wept without being able to say a word in prayer.
Very few people
have seen me cry. Has anyone heard Teacher crying aloud? There are a very few.
There were only two particular incidences when I showed my tears before
brethren, but it was only to a small minority. But when I’m alone with Real
Daddy, I often cry and weep out loud. The reason why I couldn’t say a word in
prayer and only wept aloud that day was because Daddy’s love wider than the
ocean had touched my heart and overwhelmed me.
During the
monsoon season, that endlessly vast sky suddenly fills up with thick, black
clouds. What is this? Such clouds never existed before these youngest children
fell, but once Adam and Eve and all of us all died and were on the verge of
death, these dark ominous clouds appeared which expressed our Daddy’s sorrowful
heart of anguish. They were clouds of sorrow and grief. His heart is filled
with sorrow, anxiety, and grief as He says, “I told you not to follow the
demon, but why did you, to end up dying like this!” And the sound of thunder is
the voice of our Daddy filled with anxiety. He says, “I told you to stay. Why
did you leave the countryside and suffer so many hardships in the city?” That’s
our Real Daddy scolding his child, shedding tears in grief.
As Daddy scolds
His children, giant tears begin to fall one by one. Unable to contain His
grief, tears begin to pour from our Daddy’s eyes, that’s when rain falls.
Before these youngest children fell, there was no such thing as black clouds,
and rain never fell from the skies. Thunder was never heard from the skies back
then. Did you ever hear that there was rain, thunder, and black clouds in the Garden
of Eden? Not at all. But once His children began to die, our Real Daddy’s vast
heart became filled with the black clouds of anguish, and Daddy and Jesus shed
endless tears in order to redeem these children. Whenever I think about my Father
enduring such sorrows and anguish because of me, I feel so sorry that I cannot
help shed tears.
Soon, the rain
stops and all the black clouds that covered the sky disappear without a trace.
The sun shines brightly once again, smiling its radiance. When the sun shines
like that, it is our Real Father’s love being poured down on us as He takes
away the black clouds of our iniquities, transgressions, and sins committed
throughout our lifetime. And when I think about the love of my Father who
forgives this wicked child of all my iniquities, transgressions, and sins, to
love me once again, I am so overwhelmed by that love that I cannot help
shedding tears.
When all plants
and all of creation is dry and dying of thirst, the tears of our Daddy revives the
whole earth as they are regenerated and sanctified, to become a beautiful world
once again. When these youngest children were dying, our souls withering with
thirst, through our Father and Jesus’ tears of salvation – the former and
latter rain of the Holy Spirit – we are able to bear leaves of regeneration,
flowers of sanctification, and fruits of the Holy Spirit. What an infinite love
of our Father it is!
I realized that
I had given so much sorrow to my Father, given Him so many scars, made Him shed
so many tears … but for such a child as this, my Father forgave my iniquities,
transgressions, and sins once again, and through His tears of redemption, the
former and latter rain of the Holy Spirit fell upon me so that I could live
again. And when I think about that, I feel so guilty, so thankful, so grateful
beyond words. If this is not our Father’s love as vast as the ocean, then what
is? That’s why I was unable to say a single word in prayer as I only wept aloud
before coming down the mountain. Neither my wife nor my children know about
that.
Next, I went to
the mountains. I live in Songni Mountain, and if you visit our house and I’m not
home, then I am in the mountains. I usually spend most of my time in the
mountains and when I go there, time passes so quickly. The scenery up there
looks like a painting. So I always go up there and pray, and when I’m there,
though I’m not a very good singer, I can sing for hours. Why? I’m so filled with
my Daddy’s love that I can only express it in songs. And if I don’t sing, there
would be no other way to express my overwhelmed heart and it might burst. So I
just keep on singing.
One day, I had
sung for an hour and forty minutes, and after I finished singing, all the trees
gave me a standing ovation. They were clapping their hands and waving, saying, “O
Prince! God is love. O Master, God is love,” and they were all smiling at me,
waving their hands at me and giving me a standing ovation. I was astonished and
said, “Yes, God is love. God is love.” And I begin conversing with creation.
Spending time
with these lovely friends is so wonderful that I scarcely notice how quickly
time passes. Back in the secular world, I know that my family has prepared a
table for lunch and are waiting for me. It would have been better if they weren’t
waiting for me, then I could stay in the mountains longer, but they are not
eating and waiting for me, so I must go down. I must say goodbye to these
friends but I don’t want to say goodbye. Finally I wave to them and promise I’ll
come back again. As I leave them, they keep waving until they can’t see me
anymore. Though I have lowered my hands, they are still waving at me.
I was running
down the mountain trail when suddenly a young maiden grabbed me and stopped me.
She said, “O Master, I’m glad to meet you. Please speak with me before you go.”
“Oh, I can’t. My family is waiting for me below. Let go.” “No, just for a
moment. I won’t hold you long so let’s just talk for a moment.” “No, I can’t,
my family is waiting for me. Let go I say.” But she wouldn’t let go, she kept
insisting it would be just for a moment. Who was she? It was the wild rose maiden.
This wild rose maiden
had a pretty green skirt and beautiful rose-patterned blouse, and right in the
middle of the path she had grabbed me. This isn’t just a funny story, it’s
really true. So I finally gave in and told her to start talking. She said, “Master!”
And she began to preach about her life.
When Jesus came
two thousand years ago, it says, “The word became flesh and dwelt among us and
revealed His glory – the glory of the only begotten of the Father full of grace
and truth.” When it says the word became flesh, it doesn’t mean the word became
a piece of meat, but it means the word became His life and His life was the
word. So He didn’t need the Bible, His life was the Bible itself.
This wild rose
maiden also was a friend in whom the word had become flesh. The words she lived
by was First Corinthians Chapter 13. This chapter was the life of this wild
rose maiden. “The wild rose possesses the love of patience, for whether
children or adults come with a sickle to mercilessly cut down and break her
branches, she endures all that pain to the end.” Whether adults or children bend
and twist and cut off her branches, she doesn’t argue or fight with them but
endures everything silently. She has fulfilled [Love is patient] (1Cor 13:4) in
her life.
“The wild rose
doesn’t have a rough character. She is always gentle and kind.” [Love … is
kind.] (1Cor 13:4) Has the word become flesh?
“Throughout her
life, the wild rose has never been jealous or envious of anyone.” People are
envious and jealous of others that succeed, but this wild rose has never been
jealous or envious whether other trees were tall, slender, or marvelous to look
at. [Love … does not envy.] (1Cor 13:4)
“Throughout her
life, the wild rose has never paraded herself or boasted of herself, saying, ‘It
was me.’ She has never been arrogant or haughty.” You will never see the wild
rose display herself, saying, “It’s me.” She does not know how to be arrogant.
She has always been humble her whole life. [Love … does not boast, it is not
proud.] (1Cor 13:4)
“Throughout her
life, the wild rose has never behaved rudely. She has always been
well-mannered.” [Love … does not behave rudely.] (1Cor 13:4, 5) We must be well-mannered
whether at dawn or at night. Just because you’re awake, you shouldn’t bang the
doors closed or whisper loudly while others are sleeping. People who will
ascend to heaven must not be so rude. You must always be well-mannered like the
wild rose.
“Throughout her
life, the wild rose has never been self-seeking. Rather, she joyfully shares her
leaves and branches to cows, sheep, goats, and to young children. She shares her
flowers and honey to bees and butterflies unsparingly. Truly she is overflowing
in love.”
Throughout her
life, the wild rose has never coveted other people’s things. Humans are so
greedy, trying to seek their own gain, but the wild rose offers herself to
animals, humans, and insects everything she has unsparingly her whole life. And
she doesn’t expect anything in return. Truly she has fulfilled the words, [Love
… is not self-seeking.] (1Cor 13:4, 5)
“Throughout her
life, the wild rose has never fought with her neighbors or argued with them.” Even
if she were to live a thousand, ten thousand years, you would never see her
fight with anyone. Humans always argue and fight amongst each other, with other
denominations, with other pastors, but the wild rose never even gets angry her
whole life. [Love … is not provoked.] (1Cor 13:4, 5) Has the word truly become
flesh?
“Throughout her
life, the wild rose has never harbored an evil, impure thought for even a
moment. All her thoughts have been holy and pure.” People are filled with dirty
thoughts if they just close their eyes, day and night they only have such
filthy thoughts. But though this wild rose should live a thousand, ten thousand
years, she would never have even a passing thought of evil or sin. Is she truly
a holy friend? What does it say here? [Love … thinks no evil.] (1Cor 13:4, 5) The
words in 1 Corinthians have been fulfilled in her life.
“Throughout her
life, the wild rose has never known the words for sin or unrighteousness. She has
only lived a beautiful, righteous life following God’s truth, bearing the
leaves of regeneration, the flowers of sanctification, and the fruits of the
Holy Spirit.” The wild rose will never compromise with sin or unrighteousness
for as long as she lives. Humans are bribed by money and honor, to sin and
partake in unrighteousness, but the wild rose will never compromise with sin or
unrighteousness no matter how gentle and kind she is. [Love … does not rejoice
in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth.] (1Cor 13:4, 6)
“Though the wild
rose lives in the mountains and is surrounded by many smelly trees and rotting
leaves, you will never hear the wild rose speak one word of ridicule or
criticism concerning their faults or shortcomings. If anything, the wild rose
covers their faults and shortcomings with her beautiful fragrance.” People always
see the faults and shortcomings of others and they ridicule and scorn them. But
though this wild rose is surrounded by many smelly trees and rotting leaves,
she never ridicules them but rather covers up for their faults and shortcomings
with her beautiful fragrance. [Love … bears all things.]
“Even when
ill-tempered and merciless cold frosts and snowstorms come, persecuting her leaves
and flowers, making them fall, she silently receives all the persecution and
insults, enduring them all. She believes that in the new spring, the God of
love will clothe her once again with new clothes and embrace her with His warm
arms of love. Trusting in this, she does not complain or murmur about her
trials or sufferings in the least. She silently endures all the cruel
persecutions of that malicious winter.”
When the
cross-tempered winter persecutes this beautiful friend without a reason,
tearing off her beautiful leaves, breaking offer her branches, torturing and
persecuting this wild rose, she doesn’t say, “Why are you doing this to me when
I’ve done nothing wrong!” She doesn’t swear, curse, or try to fight her
persecutors. Without any resistance to her persecutors, the wild rose silently
endures all her enemies’ attacks only believing that in the following spring, the
God of heaven will heal her once again, and clothe her with regeneration and
sanctification. [Love … bears all things, believes all things, hopes all
things, endures all things.] (1Cor 13:4, 7)
So First
Corinthians Chapter 13 was the entire life of the wild rose; she was a friend
in whom all these words were fulfilled in her life. Those who give the sermons
of their lives do not need to say anything, their lives are a sermon. This wild
rose had grabbed me who was passing by and never in my life had I ever met a
friend who gave such a beautiful sermon that gave me such strength. I was so
thankful to the wild rose that I said, “Wild rose! I’m the master who should be
giving this sermon to you, but having to hear it from you, I’m so ashamed that
I can’t endure it.” I was so embarrassed that my face was red. I should be the
one to give that kind of sermon but she was rather enlightening her foolish
master. I was so ashamed and I knelt before her in my heart and thanked her in
all earnestness. I thanked her for a sermon that I would never forget for
eternity.
“What can I do
for you?” I was so grateful that I couldn’t just leave. She only replied, “I
don’t need anything. Please go and eat now.” “No, no, I must thank you before
leaving.” I thought about it and decided to sing the song of her life. Let’s
all sing together. This is the life of the wild rose.
LOVE IS…
Love suffers
long and is kind
Love does not
envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up
Love does not
behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil
Love does not
rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth
Love bears all
things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things
Love is
eternally unchanging
Faith, hope,
love, these things are eternal
But the greatest
of faith, hope, and love is love
The greatest of
these is love
After singing this
song for her, I said “Goodbye,” and this wild rose was so happy as she waved
her hand saying goodbye. I was running home when all of a sudden, I could hear
all the trees applauding. There was the oak trees, chestnut trees, pine trees –
they were all giving me a standing ovation. They said, “For thousands of years,
the devil demon had taught that God is One who kills people, burns and destroys
them, and curses men. We were so upset at this. How desperately we have waited
for God’s real son to come. Now that God’s real son has appeared to properly
witness of God’s love before the world and universe, we are so thankful. That’s
why we are applauding you in a welcoming ovation.”
This
is not just a story for you to laugh at, but the ears of my soul, the ears of
my heart truly heard them say that. I heard their applause and their voice.
Doesn’t it say in the Bible that all of nature praises God and thanks Him? All
of universal creation communicates with God. Since I abide with God in my
heart, what’s so strange about communicating with nature as well?
Let’s read
Romans 8:19, [For the earnest expectations of the creation….] All of creation
yearns for and earnestly expects and [eagerly waits for the revealing of the
sons of God.] When God’s son appears, [you shall go out with joy, and … mountains
and the hills], all the mountains, hills, and trees will what? [...all the
trees of the field shall clap their hands.] (Isa 55:12) They will clap their
hands.
These words have
been fulfilled. All the words of the Bible must be fulfilled in actuality in
your lives. The whole Bible must be fulfilled in your life, not just one verse
but the whole Bible must be fulfilled in your lives.
I’m using this
Bible for all of you, to come down to your level. I don’t need the Bible and I
can still walk with God and go to heaven. If Buddhists were gathered here, I would
have spoken with the Sutras. If Confucians were here, I would have used their
books. I could use any of those books. I hope that you will be the true sons
and daughters of God that all of creation has been eagerly waiting for. If I were
to start talking about what I learned in nature, there would be no end, but since
there is no time, I will stop for now.
Long ago, Confucius
said these words that scholars of Chinese classics were not able to interpret
for the past thousands of years. (知者樂水仁者樂山知者動仁者靜知者樂仁者壽)
This is what it means: “People who know God, who walk with God, truly like the rivers
and seas; they like the water. Those who possess the heart of God have His
character and live His life, and they love the mountains. Those who walk with
God will not remain still but move to save the world. And those who have the
character and heart of God will never act as if they know everything but remain
quiet. And those who walk with God are always filled with joy. Those who have
the heart of God will live for eternity.”
May you all move
to the countryside and live as sages, to go to heaven on the clouds.
